Shared on Thu, 10/07/2010 - 14:31Yesterday I met up with DSmooth and Emminentt to check out some venues for our 2011 Gamers Gone Wild Party (March 12th) in partnership with our friends over at SFX360.com. If you were able to make it to the first GGW event back in March, then you know what an amazing party it was. Well PAXEast 2011 is going to be bigger and we plan to follow suit. After checking out a few locations last night, we came upon the perfect spot to hold what will undoubtedly be the most talked about party of PAXEast 2011. We can't release too many details just yet, but here are a few teasers of what he are planning:
- Four levels (yes, four!) of gaming and music, including several DJ's and at least one "celebrity" DJ
- Current Gen Console Tournaments and several "Free Play" areas
- Classic Arcade Tournament featuring at least one (and maybe several) coin-op machines
- Live video streaming and podcast recording throughout the evening
- Numerous industry icons (last year Adam Sessler stumbled in. Who will you see this time? Hmmm)
- Open air deck (yeah, we know, it's March in New England. But we will have heaters for the faint of heart to keep you warm)
- Not one, but TWO custom consoles created by our own OmegaMaximus of Gamer-Grafix which will be raffled off to raise money for charity
- Tons of prizes, giveaways and surprises from our event sponsors
So if you have not done sol already, grab your tickets for PAXEast (March 11th - 13th, 2011) soon and plan to join us in Boston for the biggest gaming weekend on the East Coast.
