So today I sold my TRON arcade Cab. (I will wait for the audible gasps to die down). I know that this may come as a shock to many who have followed my blog over the past year. I am still a rabid TRON fan and love the game. So why would I let such a collector's piece go? Well, much is in flux on my end and some MAJOR changes may be on the way. Rest assured, these would be good changes if they come to pass. However, given what potentially lies before me, I came to the conclusion that I need to pare down my arcade cab collection just a bit. There are certain games that I own, such as Robotron & Donkey Kong, which I will NEVER sell, because I play them daily. TRON was fun, but the game is rather repetitive and gets old quickly. Add to this that one of my friends and fellow collectors is working to open up an arcade/cafe/bar in Easthampton (Western MA) and was very interested in my game, and it just seemed time to let this one go. Somewhere down the line I am pretty confident that I will repurchase this game (once we own a house and I have a more perminent arcade room set up). In the meantime, my TRON cab will soon be enjoyed by many folks as they hang out at my friend's new establishment, which I think is a very good thing.

So after I dropped off the arcade cab, I took Jackson to check out Wavasaurus, which is located in Holyoake, MA. This spot gets its name from two features 1) Dinasaur footprints which are imbedded & preseved in the rock formations along the shoreline and 2) The rather fun play wave that occurs just offshore during periods of high water flow. In the spring, when the rainfall and snow melt force up to 80,000 cubic feet per second down the Connecticut River, this spot attracts local kayakers (including myself) who spend hours playing around in the standing wave that is created.

Well, today the water levels were much lower. However, that did not stop our dog Jackson from doing a little "fishing" along the banks.
