Shared on Wed, 05/30/2012 - 17:11I have embarked on yet another cooking endeavor as part of my foodie Blog Cooking in the Great Outdoors by entering into the Marx Food Integrale Gauntlet, a competition that pits 15 food bloggers, including yours truly, in a head to head cook-off to see who can create the most enticing and original dish using the sponsor's newest product, Integrale Rice. Since my focus is always on preparing food in the outdoors that represents fresh, locally-sourced ingredients I chose to create a Wild Mushroom Risotto with Grilled Trout. Even my fellow competitors saw fit to give me a little praise about the dish, one saying "This looks like Hemiway's Integrale."

voted! But I got to tell you, the sav blanc with Lobster risotto sounds fucking fantastic as well.

I hear you LB. Though using lobster for a risotto is pretty much cheating IMHO. Either way, thanks for the vote!
