Shared on Sat, 03/12/2011 - 17:46I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who helped us with he TRON Console and Gamers Gone Wild yesterday. I know that the chaos was stressful for some of you and we truly do appreciate how hard everyone worked to pull all the pieces together at the final moment. With that said, both the TRON Console Fundraiser and Gamers Gone Wild were both hugely successful.
By the end of the day today we have raised over $1500 for Child's Play Charity in conjunction with Omega's TRON Console. Due to the hectic nature of our party last night, we decided to hold off on drawing the winner until next week via a live stream. This will allow everyone to participate in and enjoy the excitement of finding out who won the console. As many of you know, the post party buzz from Gamers Gone Wild is already pretty intense. Despite having to change the venue at the 11th hour and some logistical issues cropping up at the last minute, Felt was packed throughout the night and by 11:00 pm the venue was at capacity. Unfortunately, this meant that some of our friends, VIP's and commmunity people did not make it into the party. For those who did make it inside Felt, the feedback from the attendees has been resoundingly positive. As I walked the PAXEast Expo floor in my Gamers Gone Wild shirt today, I had a large number of people stop me and tell me how much they enjoyed the party. None of this would have been possible without the support of all of you. Once again, thank you for helping make Gamers Gone Wild 2011 a huge success.
There is already talk about next year's party and I am sure that it will once again eclipse what came before it. As I am getting married in April, 2012 I will not be on the GGW planning team next year. With that said, I will be here to lend promotional support leading up to the event and I fully plan to attend, this time as a regular guest. After running around like a chicken with my head cut off for the past two Gamers Gone Wild events, it will be nice to be a regular guest and to be able to enjoy the event fully for once.

Oh and in case you did not hear, Dsmooth finally dropped his grudge with Cliffy B. Looks like they are getting along just fine.
