Shared on Sun, 01/31/2010 - 18:07So today, with the help of my two friends, VideoDan and Joey, I was able to snag one of my personal Holy Grails when it comes to coin-op arcade video cabs, Donkey Kong. This machine went on sale in the town next to mine on Friday via CL. I was lucky enough to get the first email into the seller and went by on Friday to check it out and put a downpayment on the machine. Today, we picked it up and brought it back home.
As you can see, the game is in really good shape. The white T-molding really needs to be replaced, but otherwise, the game is in excellent condition and plays great.
My friends Joey and VideoDan, who helped me lug this cab into my basement then drank a few brews and played a few games of DK to celebrate.
The Basement Arcade is really starting to shape up. Now to work on filling out the wall to the left.
