In response to His Highness KingDrewskey i have already mentioned in a previous post that a benevolent and altruistic monarchy or dictator would be prefereable to the muddle of current "democratic" government structures (we vote for a collection of dictators anyway) in practise, human nature as it is, such men or women of power rarely provide a beneficial input in the long run. No country in Europe has retained it's monarch in any position of political power (those that did not execute them that is). There is a reason for this. Look at the countries in Africa and Asia that still retain Monarchs or dictatrors as the sole power holder. These countries are rarely economically or socially progressive. Take Nepal as the most recent example. The king has been stripped of power, prestige and now land and retainsthe title in name only. This was doen after social disquite and armed upheaval. Hell ,communism on paper, in it's purest theory looks acceptable but these things never work in practice since people like to think they have some say even when in practise they don't really. Glad I got that off my chest
Now, in honour of my newly selected avatar, a wee poem wot I wrote
