Here's the latest arrival to our family. Baby Sarah arrived happy and healthy last week. She's enjoying the Battlefield 4 beta so far and looking forward to the game launch later this month..............

To pass the time until Battlefield 4 and the new consoles come out I decided to try my hand at a new hobby. Since my two boys are crazy for Star Wars at the moment I thought I'd try to create some models of the sets from the movies. After a little internet research I discovered the proper term is "diorama". Anyway rather than follow a preset blueprint I jumped right iin at the deep end with my own custom Mos Eisley cantina. It's about half way through and I would say I've put about 30 hours in so far. Obviously everything takes longer to create from scratch.

With the latest Simcity fail and all the talk of microtransactions from EA I thought I'd post this cartoon I did a while back.  If it's too small you can see a larger one here.

Was anyone else fascinated by the Lance Armstrong interviews? Some of the stuff he came out with was jawdropping. Not that he was doping of course but as an insight into the way his mind works.  Talk about a meme goldmine.

Ireland ranks 12th on list of best places to be born

Despite the recession, high levels of emigration and lousy weather, Ireland remains one of the best countries in the world in which to be born, according to a new survey.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranks Ireland 12th among 80 countries in terms of the life chances of a child born in 2013.

"We just don't have the bandwidth right now."

"You know bandwidth is a real issue for us."

"We can't, we're bandwidth-limited."

WILL YOU JUST SAY WHAT YOU F*CKN MEAN AND USE PLAIN ENGLISH!!!!!

When did bandwidth become a replacement word for resources, or ability to do a job even? No-one told me.

Hi all, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged and it seems even longer since I’ve actually played a game on Xbox.  Life has just been so busy at the moment that something had to give and unfortunately it was gaming.

In the meantime I'd love to get some feedback on the "COD Couple" and whether or not you would like to see them developed and appear on the site more in the future.

On Sunday 23^rd September from 8pm ET 2old2retro will be hosting their first ever retro game night. We will be playing Quake Arena on Xbox360.
