It's in the mail - Return to School blog

I have a resume and cover letter set to go in the mail this weekend to the Dean who will be working with me on my re-admission. I spent two hours on the cover letter, mostly because I wanted to make sure it was right. It read well until I realized that I never explicitly stated that I wanted to talk to a Dean about coming back. Whoops. :)

I have requested letters of recommendation from my management. And as a bonus, one of the senior VPs has committed to submitting a letter as well. Yes!

Texas GameStop Manager Only Sells to Good Students

A GameStop manager in southern Dallas, Texas is requiring children who come to the store to purchase games to have their parents confirm that they are getting good grades. And not only that, but the kids have to mind their manners, too.

Traitor or Player?

I just read this story on ESPN about an American basketball player who could potentially lead a Russian team to the Beijing Olympics.

Back to School

I left school in 1992 for two reasons. First, I wasn't performing to standards for various reasons. Second, I couldn't afford to stay.

It was my intent to go back to school. But for one reason or another, I didn't make a serious attempt to go back. Today, I am 38 years old, married to an incredible woman with 4 kids under 3 and I have an awesome job for a leading biotech company.
