Thank you to those of you that took action based upon my previous blog.  According to the American Legion website, it appears as if the plan to have veterans pay for their own health care has been tabled - at least for now.  I plan to keep an eye on this and I'll send up the ballons again if I see someone trying to sneak this through.

I'm going to be a little late to work today because I need to phone my congressman and find out why we can afford to hand out billions to banks, insurance companies, automakers and others that have proven a knack for mismanaging funds, but we are going to deny funds to the one group of people that we should actually be taking care of?

I'm not typically one to opine publicly about these kinds of things, but with the current fawning of the press to anything that is left of political center, someone has to come out and say it. This guy is an idiot.

So the other shoe has finally dropped and my wife and two daughters went down to the bug last night.  Who would have thought something so dainty could make such a big mess.  With all the females in the house out of commission, guess who gets to do all the cleaning - or what passes for cleaning anyway?
