PS3-4000 (new model)
New model should be announced at TGS later this month. If you're thinking about picking up a ps3 you might want to wait. Smaller than a slim, should be cheaper too. A 16gb flash model is rumored to be the cheapest and I assume will have a drive slot to add a common laptop drive for more storage.
Also some rumored added extras. I'm not sold on them so I'll hold my tongue but if it comes to pass I'll be upgrading if possible.

after watching the IGN guys unboxing, I'm not 100% sold on it.
I like the 500GB HDD though.
just wish it could be a quieter system.
smaller is great and all, but the damn thing is louder, and that slider top looks cheap, and easily breakable.
the IGN guy managed to have it pop open w/ a slight jostle. not cool, man... not cool.
I see a lot of broken sliders for this model.

She may be fat, and possibly old, but she still does it for me.
I think the fat version is ugly as hell. If mine ends up kicking the bucket, I won't hesitate to pick up the super slim. I may be in the minority, but I like the way it looks. I take fairly good care of my systems so I'm not worried about breaking it.
That sliding cover has me worried. Do you think they have a check to see if it is open and won't spin the disc? I cna now see all the clear cover mods...
However, if it means someone could make a robotic arm disc changer for it....

Pretty sure I said it "should" be cheaper, and it should. They need to stop packing in games to keep the price higher.
