Okay, so I been a bit distracted but...

I'm not seeing any buzz about DLC this month, so it's over?

I really hope they keep doing DLC for FM4 once Horizon comes out. Maybe not 10 cars but maybe 5? Pretty please?

DLC for FM4 is done.

From the 9/21 Week in Review:

"The September Pennzoil Car Pack is our last regular monthly add-on pack for Forza Motorsport 4, as we prepare to unleash Forza Horizon—and all of its upcoming cool add-on content—on the Xbox 360 starting on October 23. Have no fear, Forza 4 fans, we've still got your back with lots in store in the coming months, including our regular cadence of monthly Rivals events, hopper updates, weekly photo and livery contests, Game With Dev events, and much more. As with this month's Petit Le Mans Challenge, we'll be bringing you Forza 4 lovers more chances to win cool prizes in the coming months as well, including a huge contest that we're planning to debut with the start of the 2013 ALMS season. Look for more information on that, and the rest of the cool things we'll be doing with Forza Motorsport 4, in this space soon."

Okay, so that is it. Although there may be something here or there, maybe.

Expect to see an Ultimate pack leading into Christmas, but what they feel sufficiently after Horizon's release.

I need to look into this free Viper, I guess. can't stand that paint job though. And I need to see if I already have the car...

Are you talking about this Viper? Only being gifted out in Horizon to players who play the demo, purchase the game and then play it online.

This one however, is available as a free DLC for FM4.

Viper 3

Okay, so that's the one I have. I won't be buying Horizon unless some serious natural law defying shit occurs...not interested in it and don't wanna drop the cash on it.

At least I won't have to deal with that paint job...although I could mock one up and maybe sell it...

Why don't you want to get it? What is uninteresting about it? Just curious. There are a few members here who have said they won't be getting it. Which disappoints me because I'd like to play Horizon with some of you guys. There'd be some great point to point races.  Now, don't take it the wrong way. It's just that you do great paint work and you lots if fun in the lobbies.

At least get the demo and see if it grabs your interest? What do you say?

Parcells can't answer for OldSchool but I've been one of the guys saying I wont buy it. Well, atleast for a week or so a few months back I was saying it but have long since changed my mind to some extent. Simply put the most enjoyment Parcells gets with this SIM racing we try to create is circuit racing and I don't get the vibe that Horizon is focused on this discipline in any manner whatsoever.

But the graphics are beautiful so my altered plan is to wait until the price drops, smoke a big doobie and simply drive around the Colorado roads enjoying the scenery. Will also try to find some good patches of dirt roads and test out Turn10s physics on Dirt. Can only hope there anywhere near GT5s physics. I foresee it as mostly a single player 20 hour game or so for Parcells so hopefully I can hold out until the price actually does drop (may be quick if the game is a big flop?)

Much the same here, the deeper into the world of sim racing I go, the further I go from arcade games. this is a bargin bin buy still for me.

Well, to all that say "you can paint", I already am...

And I feel like I'd be buying the same DLC I already paid for, as the cars ARE the ones I already paid for, just a different locale and no Tuning...

I'm not into crashing through fences, music concerts and barn finds...

I've had similar "more of the same" feelings from the Horizon car reveals.
I'll blame T10's DLC strategy with Forza 4.

They gave us 10 cars a month for a solid year. That would be great if there wasn't another Forza title coming out for 2 or more years, but it seems they're going the CoD route and have yearly realeases between two different studios.

If that's the case, they should condense the DLC cylce to 6-9 months so that we have a bit of a breather between the last DLC and the next release.

I will wait for the demo and make my mind up if its a day 1 purchase or bargain bin.

Although I won't be going all LCE + passes ect this time round either way.
