It's unfortunate that the guild has seen a mass exodus of players. I expected it would happen closer to the big fall releases (Halo, COD) but not so soon. We haven't even done anything fun together as a guild. Also, I don't understand the general dissatisfaction. I've put 250 hours into the game, and I've enjoyed every minute of it--even when we were losing at WvW. But, I'm not going to hold quitting the game, or giving up on the guild, against anyone. We all have different tastes, and expectations. GW2 meets mine; it doesn't meet yours. That's okay. No hard feelings. Que sera sera, and all that.

The nice thing about GW2 is there are no subscription fees, and if anyone decides to hop back on to see what new features/content have been introduced, please drop me a line. (Add Sheriff Bullock.3859 to your friends list.) I am going to leave this guild, though. A very good friend of mine wanted me to join her guild at the beginning, but I declined because Black N White had the numbers. Since that is no longer the case, I am going to park my characters in her guild for awhile. That doesn't mean I won't do dungeons, or other PvE content, with someone if they're interested. You might even see me on the 2o2p site a bit longer. I heard a rumor I'm not the only person in the world with a PlayStation VIta.

Until we meet again,

Sucks to see you go, but I totally understand.  I think the biggest issue for me is that there really isn't anything to do at max level.  Sure there is WvWvW, but with so few of the guild actually logging on for our Friday run it was pointless.  Most people seemed to just like to play solo and that didn't help.  Thing is, I haven't "quit" guild wars at all.  There really isn't any game to quit since we have no sub.  I just don't have a reason to log on nearly as much.

Don't forget though, there is no reason to leave BnW.  You can still be in the guild and talk to members without having to leave.  Lots of us are in mulitiple guilds at the same time.  I still look forward to your posts about GW2 here either way.  It keeps me interested in what the GW2 community is doing.

There was no reason to leave the guild, as doodi said, or to not join her's at the beginning.  You can belong to multiple guilds in this game, whichever one you are currently representing is the one you are in guild chat with and whose tag and perks you are using.

My biggest issue with GW2 at the moment is that they introduced a minor patch that broke a huge portion of their game (WvWvW) and they not only haven't rolled back to a working version but they have yet to address it other than to say "we'll look into it."  Trying to battle invisible armies of players is fucking ridiculous, I'm lucky if I can even see my own teammates most of the time.  The last several days has been playing follow the green dots on the mini map while tab-targeting and hoping you're hitting someone.

I'm still around, but being more of a casual gamer, I'm still fairly low level (the fact I can't seem to stick w/ 1 specific toon isn't helping) which doesn't work out very well for hooking up with a party of others.  Oh well, I'm still really enjoying it, though I only get to play about 3 or 4 hours a week...usually later in the evening (west coast time) for half hour or hour at a shot.

I love the no subscription fee.  That is why I don't get into WoW.  I've played the trial, it was ok, but I couldn't justify the cost of the game & a monthly charge.  Between GW2 & D3 (and soon Torchlight 2) I've got my RPG/Hack n' Slash fix taken care of.  The fact we've had so many releases this year is crazy.  I'll try to remember to add you to my FL (didn't even know one was there 82) for when I get up to the higher levels that tend to require multiple people (if you're still around).

Ultimately racing sims are my bread & butter for gaming (member of 4 leagues ATM), so the others just fill time when I'm not working on the house, learning guitar or tinkering on the cars.

It sure is a pain in the ass keeping a guild together.  I think BnW had a lot of different styled players and no common goal.  It's tough to keep a group like that together.  Add to the fact that Borderlands and WoW's expansion came out.  That's 2 AAA titles which happen to be RPG no less.  Most of the remaining players are so casual and at different levels it's impossible to group up.

I still play GW2.  Right now I am really enjoying WvWvW.  It's unfortunate that Gates of Madness was just awful at it.  There was no coordination.  Any of the WvWvW guilds left once GoM was declared a hacking server (all servers have the fly hack btw).   That ruined any chance of WvW with GoM.  I moved to ET just to see what color the grass was, and it was 100% greener.  It's a very coordinated WvW server.  Well, at least during EST time.  It's a shame you and your friends didn't move over.  While I enjoy WvW with Ruin, I would rather be in a smaller guild.  I would just hop over to Ruin when I went into WvW.

I thought of starting a guild on ET, but it looks like Ruin is set to hop to a new server.  Currently the only guild that is active is Ruin (they have 3 guilds of about 400 a piece).  We dominated during the evening in EST time but the server has no one joining in on the off hours.  Everyday we log in to holding zero points (we are facing 2 teir 1 servers).  They may make a move to Sea of Sorrows.  If so, I'll go as well.  At that point I'll fire up a new Guild just to keep the 2o2p guys together.

Well, ET's time to shine is over.  The geniuses followed through with thier bright idea of moving over to a European server.  I'm not thrilled with the idea of moving to a server that's not in my time zone.  It was bad enough in SWToR being on a West Coast Server and not finding people to play with when I'm on.  Screw overseas.

Looks like I need to find a server stateside that's serious about WvW.  JQ is the top one right now, but they're full and I think people will bail on that.  Might look into Stormbluff Isle (think that's what it's called).

The WvW drama is funny.  One of Ruin's "directors" is trying to explain why Ruin moving to a EU server is ok and not a tuck tail and run tactic.  Also found out a rather large WvW guild on Jade Quarry (PRX) left for Sea of Sorrows.  So that may be an option.

I'm just trying to find a server that's going to put up a coordinated fight in WvW.

IMO it's gotta be a Tier 1 or 2 server.  Anything below that and it's likely gonna be low population and disorganized/half-assed PvPers.

Well, I'm on Stormbluff Isle and I'm not sure.  Jade Quarry now has the numbers around the clock.  Beating them will be so difficult until the guilds split up because they're sick of hours long queues.  Also, Stormbluff seems very unfocused in WvW.  These guilds need to band together in WvW and work as one.  Until people learn that, we're screwed.  And I highly doubt that will happen.  WvW is too complicated for the players of this game.  You need numbers, round the clock coverage, and server wide coordination.  Good luck with that.  And if there is a server that does that (other than JQ), I'd love to know.  I'd transfer in a second.

Yeah, I'm not impressed at all with SBI.  And with HoD seeming to have completely given up, Tier 1 is just JQ running rampant using their numbers to dominate and there is really no counter to it without some sort of server balancing.  I'm gonna try one of the Tier 2 servers tonight if I'm able to transfer, either CD or IoJ, seems to be a very even battle going on there so far.  If that doesn't work out then maybe I'll try finishing one of my personal storylines and then just calling it quits with this game for a while.

I transferred to IoJ and while it had been an even fight, as soon as IoJ pulled ahead of CD then the transfers must have kicked in again because now IoJ has a massive population compared to the other servers and is just steamrolling everything...

I think I'm ready to declare this game dead.  At least for me.  PvE has nothing to interest me once you hit 80, sPvP is rather pointless unless you have a group to run tournaments (which I don't), and WvW is broke beyond repair.  Unless they balance servers and disable free transfers there will never be WvW the way it was intended.  Think I'll be playing Borderlands 2 for a while.

The problem is just round the clock coverage.  SBI can hold it's own against JQ at prime time, provided all things are equal.  But when you log on and the one server owns 99% of every map it's just discouraging.  And while you may rally enough to put on a fight in EB, the borderland maps suffer.

Shit, tonight we managed to take over 3/4's of EB.  We had trebs up and working on Stormmist's walls.  We finally broke and, stormed the castle and took over.  I know that tonight, all that progress will get wiped out and we'll be back to our 1 %.  To top it all all, the idiots at HoD were attacking us instead of running Jade Quarry out of the map.  Current map standings are 155k JQ, 56K SBI and 26K HoD.  Can never figure out why the 2 losing teams don't focus on the winning team.

Aren't all the servers based in Texas?  Even the International ones?  If so, why do we have NA and EU servers?  Shouldn't it just be one set?  This way a server could have people from all time zones?

WvW is a great idea.  It is a lot of fun.  Arena.net is almost there with it.  It just maybe too late even if they manage to fix it.  I know people say GW2 has no end game.  This is their end game and if it worked it could be awesome.

I don't plan to leave the game.  I just need it for a few more weeks anyway.  Then Halo 4 and BLOPs 2 come out and then I'll just play casually.
