Roethlisberger, why I think he should be hit by a bus.

While I don't usually wish harm on anyone (well, not anyone important really) I do think that Big-Ben should get struck (not killed) by a bus.

I am a devoit Steelers fan, have been since I was about 6 years old. So I have been chearing for the Pitt for about 36 years now. That is why I find it so disheartening that they continue to hang their hat and hopes on Professor Pump-Fake.

I truly hate that douche-bag.

If he weren't surrounded by one of the greatest teams in the league he would most likely be considered a mediocre QB at best. But, even forgiving his mediocrity, he needs to learn to take less than 4 fucking seconds in the pocket. It's the NATIONAL FUCK_ALL FOOTBALL LEAGUE you asshole, not High School. There isn't a pro-defender in the NFL (possibly even the guys in the NCAA) that doesn't know exactly where and to who he is going to throw to with all that bullshit floundering about in the back-field that piss-ant continues to inflict on his offensive line.

I'm glad I had to work last night, it saved me from dying of an anuerism watching that asshole throw yet another game away (literally). Instead I chose to punish myself by watching the hi-light reels.

Good game played by Manning, I hope he does well this season (despite how I feel about the Broncos). It has to be pretty embarassing to be the only person at the Thanksgiving spread without a Superbowl ring. I bet even his mom has one.

But, for Ben Worthlessberger I have only one thing to say, go play in traffic.

Peyton and Eli have an older brother named Cooper.  He was supposedly better than both but had to call it quits after he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. So technically there's 2 male Mannings in that family without super bowl rings.

P.S.  I hate Rapelisberger too.

I lost all respect for Ben when after being accused of a he said/she said rape situation, he went & did it again by having his bodyguards help trap a female in a restroom alone with him and keep her friends from being able to come check on her. There's also a lot of reports that he's just a jerk of a personality.

But his football playing abilites are Not a reason to hate on him. He's a two-time superbowl winner. That's gotta count for something. Yeah, he threw the game-ending interception last night. His counterpart did the same a couple years back to end their playoff season. ( I say that even with P. Manning being my favorite QB of all time).

What kind of NFL fan doesn't realize that Peyton does have a ring?  In fact, he got his first.

"What kind of football fan.." Answer: A casual one. Sorry for the error but I get to watch about 5 games a year (whenever I'm not working). What time I do get to check on anything, I spend it on the Steelers. I actually have watched Eli play more than Peyton. Never said I was the ultimate fan, just a dedicated Steelers fan. I have probably only gotten to watch three of the last ten Superbowls and one of those was watching the Giants upset the Patriots a few years back (there's Eli again). So, if Manning (either one would be just fine) became the quarterback for the Steelers (wow, I was happy there for a second) then I would know more about them.

Actually, Roethlisberger's alleged abilities as a quarterback (not to mention his personal failures) are a PERFECTLY good reason to hate on him. He wasn't the only person on the field when the Steelers won those Superbowls. If he had any less of an apparently patient front line, I doubt he would get much accomplished.

Doing something "amazing" on the timetable he performs them are a statistical anomaly NOT a benchmark to judge his overall performance. What he does all the time is what makes him mediocre, particularly when judged against the overall quality of the rest of the team. And, I would like to point out in all defference to his receivers that when a QB does something "amazing" it is usually either because the play fell apart and the QB ran it out themselves OR because they screwed up and had an extrememly talented receiver on the other end who made up for their mistakes (overthrow, underthrow, too much lead, not enough, etc.) When a quarterback does everything right and the rest of the offense does as well, it's called normal.

"Amazing" for a QB is the ability to develop as the play does and somehow manage to get the ball to his own teammates (see what I did there??) regardless of the odds. Big-Ben runs because more often than not he is not capable of that kind of three dimensional thinking.

His personal life off of the field is not the primary reason I can't stand the guy (although, it's a pretty good reason as well). Douchebag status isn't exactly unusual for a QB. Joe Namath could very well have been a poster child for it at times but he also had some outstanding professional qualities (and perhaps the luck of being around in the 60's and 70's).

Is Roethlisberger good enough to be in the NFL? Absolutely. Is he better than average? At times, when the moon is in phase maybe. Is he good enough to be placed in the slot that he is currently in? Nope.

Roethlisberger is a good QB but he is not in the same conversation as Brady, Brees, Rogers

The Packers would have won that Superbowl even without Worthlessbergers help. It was their season and Rodgers was at his best. The Steelers (it's bound to happen) are starting to show their age and it's about time to freshen it up a bit.

Yeah, this guy sucks so badly he's the #1 quarterback in the leauge right now. If you're truly a Steelers fan, I don't know what to say to you about this. I mean the guy is less than 300 yards away from breaking the franchise record. Two superbowls not enough for ya? Honestly, would you rather go back to the O'donnell years? Guess you don't recall the run, run, pass years of frustration like I do.Or Cower's love affair with that moron Kordell Stewart we had to endure far too long after the bloom was off the rose.

I'll take Ben over any of the QB's we've had since Bradshaw, and I suspect that most would say the same.

#6 according to ESPN, but they suck.

#1 according to most Steeler fans, and the ROCK!

I hate Ben Roethlisraper and I hate the Steelers. But I'm a Seattle fan so it's to be expected. Ben is just a big jerk of a person, but he is a good QB. Perhaps that makes me hate him even more.

This does bring up a more interesting point. Anytime a QB does poorly, people instantly say he sucks and call for his replacement. If a team has a losing record? Fire the coach! Fans don't have much loyalty or patience, do they? I say if you're a Steelers fan, what do you have to be upset about? You have 2 Super Bowl wins in the past few years and one of the winningest teams in the league. Yeah, you have a rapist for a QB, but he's harder than heck to tackle. Grow a pair and enjoy what you've got.

I honestly couldn't believe that a true Steelers fan would bash this guy after the nimrods they've employed over the years. Regardless of what people want to say, the guy's an elite quarterback. Without his slipping tackles and extending plays the Steelers would'nt even be a playoff contender.

The #1 stat was in TD's and passer rating before Thursday night's game guys. :P

No ill will, or hurt feelings. Just wanted to give you my perspective. Heading back to the shadows now.
