PSN Store new look coming (Update 10/23)

With the announcement of the new PS3 Slim tonight, it looks that Sony is also stealth announcing a new look to the PlayStation Store. The Australian PlayStation site had some text buried in the announcement for the new Slim.

“To tie in with the launch, PlayStation Store for PS3 is set to get a new look from October 2012 too, making it even easier for you to find and download the content you love from the comfort of your sofa.”

 

Like the blurb at the bottom I think it's going to be more web front like. Maybe there will be access from pc and push it to the ps3. Right.......

Also playstation mobile launches October 3rd.

All PAL territories will get it on October 17, while the States will get it six days later on October 23.

The new look is much better than the old one. I look forward to testing out to see if it performs better though. I just ask that content is easy to find without being attacked by ads.

Pete. I think you're asking a little much not wanting to be attacked with ads. It is a store afterall. The bigger picture is not being blasted with shit you can't see, ala bright ass background with white text. The dl list needs work and I guess the search needs some work from what I've read. Using a pc to push content would be cool too, not sure that's included as of yet.

I'm okay with ads for games and such. What I'm not okay with is ads for gum, soda, anal lube etc etc. You know, like Xbox live.
