I grabbed it last night.

I've run through the first chapter and the first two episodes of the second chapter so far and really enjoy it.

The game looks a lot better if you use the paint sparingly.  The white splotches in the splatter give the environment some depth rather than painting everything solid black.

That being said, it's not all black paint.  The second chapter has you throwing water blobs at textures to reveal walls within the on-screen shadows.  Unlike the black paint, the water isn't permanent.  You only have a certain amount of time to view the area you sprayed.

There are also some balloons scattered around the game for you to find.  You can buy perks with balloons that help you in the game.  The two that I've purchased so far are "Balloon Radar" (helps find balloons...duh) and some "Pause Time" thing.  I can pause time, throw a bunch of paint in the air and restart time to see it all fly forward at once rather than one at a time.  Fun little effect that might be useful down the road.

There are also storybook pages scattered around the levels for you to find.  They're identified by a gold letter.  Once you throw paint on it, the page is revealed.  I think there's a trophy for finding them all if you are into that sort of thing.

I finished it last night and really enjoyed it.

It's short, maybe a little over two hours, but the game is still a lot of fun.

There's even a nice "Journey" easter egg in the game.  (The game, not the band)  laugh
