Glad to be here (College Student; age 25)

Hello everyone,

I'd like to thank those that manage this website for allowing me to join this great community of fellow gamers. Though I may be at the borderline early age of 25 and a college student, I look forward to getting to know you all. 

So, you may be wondering what brought me here. I first heard of this place from a good friend of mine whose name I'll keep undisclosed, but his (Xbox Live) gamertag is Badboy Tracy CA. He and I have met both online and in person, and I enjoy playing Halo alongside him and with his buddies. 

Currently I am a college student attending BYU-Idaho, studying for a career in the field of communications, emphasizing both video production and news/journalism. I haven't yet decided exactly what I want to focus on as a career path, but I'm getting there.

Not that I really need a legitimate reason to join, but I just thought I'd share that another thing I want to do apart from getting to know the community is to also hopefully get to know some of you better on a more personal level, to understand what drives you as a gamer and to in the process work on a project that I've proposed to my school that I hope will essentially "break" the video-gamer stereotype as viewed by those who are non-gamers.

I'd appreciate it if anyone here would be willing to help me out with this project, particularly at this point I am looking for those who are essentially not just gamers, but also game developers. I doubt that I'll find anyone here that doesn't play games, but if you are one, feel free to send me a message if you're interested in helping me with this project.  If you wish to have more details relating to this project you may send me a message as well.

Again, I'd like to say that I'm glad to be here and that I hope to make many awesome new friends. I don't care how old or how skilled you are at a particular game. I've come to learn that those who are older than me are most often the best guys to hang around with, there is a wide difference in how you all play and act in contrast to the typical 12 - 20 year old.
