Format: 10 min qualifiying followed by 2 30 min races
Settings: Black Flags only, AI set to 94% damage set to 85% pits are open if needed!
Points: Points are awarded to the top 15 finishers in each race thus: 1st – 20 points; 2nd – 17; 3rd – 15; 4th – 13; 5th – 11; 6th – 10; 7th – 9; 8th – 8; 9th – 7; 10th – 6; 11th – 5; 12th – 4; 13th – 3; 14th – 2; 15th – 1.
Ballast:
1st = 45kg
2nd = 35kg
3rd = 25kg
4th = 15 kg
5th = 5kg
Round 1 everyone will start with no ballast, Round 1s results will determine which top 5 drivers will have ballast added to there car for round 2
the results from round 2 will carry over to round 3, ballast will be added to the drivers car for practice, qualifying and race 3 this pattern will continue through out the remainder of the season

Change of plans. I was originally going to run a BMW, but after sampling the '06 Honda Sunday, I'm now leaning that way. I was pretty much a full second faster in it on the default tune than I was after testing/tuning for about an hour w/ the BMW.
I see we're using Skype...cool. Now I just need to remember my login info..gif "65")

Anyone know what time this is BST I can't seem to track down CMT and watch out, here the clocks go back here saturday night and in the US next week so lets keep on top of that one.
He's 1 hour ahead of me, so it should be Mountain Time Zone (GMT -7).

Just got in from my Sister-in-laws after babysitting her kids for the past 7 f-in hours
Wondered what had happened to you, some tight racing with me being nurfed out of first place by the AI a couple of laps from the end of the first race...good job I use PTT the air turned blue. Second race I just held on to take first with Kurupt breathing down my neck for the last few laps. So added weight for the next one, that should be interesting.
That was a lot of fun! Did far better than I was anticipating. Showed up this morning and said eff tinkering with the car. Went out on the default tune and just focused on finding my way around. Was rewarded with multiple PBs during qually...finally found some resemblance of a groove.
I actually liked all the AI in the race. The larger fields and traffic definetely add another layer to the race.
Race 1 - Started on the pole, but dropped straight back to 3rd-4th with a bad start. Settled into a battle w/ Knight that went the first half of the race til I ran a touch wide and dropped the RR off the track resulting in a half spin. Recovered for 3rd behind Kurupt. I would later get by Kurupt when he would run a little wide and set chase after Knight. Took over the lead w/ 5 minutes left in the race when Knight got shanked by a backmarker heading out of Druids. Kurupt would close the gap down in the waning laps ending with a drag off the final corner w/ Kurupt on my heels as I jinked through some traffic to get to the line first.
Race 2 - Started 8th. Definetely felt the effects of the additional weight as cars were taking advantage by diving up the inside under braking. Opted to run a bit less aggresive and try to save the tires so I had something at the end of the race. Had a half spin (and slid back into the wall) after running wide in the final corner...dropping my back to 12th. Had a scare on lap 21 went a got a little tap from a Seat, kicking the back end of the Accord out in a monumental drift. Somehow I managed to keep in on the track and not lose any positions...just a bunch of track time. Started working my way up as others had offs/issues. Ended up finishing in 3rd when it was all said and done. Sounds like Knight & Kurupt had quite the tussle going up front for the lead at the end.

Telling the difference between AI and us was a real problem, I could not even get the name over the cars, just wouldn't work so I had no idea half the time and just went on the lines a car was taking. I was thinking the same about paints but no idea how to paint in these PC games, headlights would help know someone was behind but not who was in front.
Yeah pitstops would add something and a short break gets my vote to, but for a first time outing it was a great success and can only get better as we refine it. Now bring on the Clios

As I work all week the wife see's Saturday and Sunday as "our time" so I have to go shopping and do boring stuff
Neverender was DNF both races...other than that I only know the first three places as outined above. I will see if replays saved tomorrow.

I didn't see melg in my replay of the second race. Did he miss the second race? I thought he was there.

I really wanted to race yesterday but it was so windy here from hurricane sandy running up the east coast that my power kept shutting off. I lost connection about 3 times in about an hour of practice. I will see you all next week.
