Personal Ordnance
I haven't played a Halo game since Halo3 so this is really crazy. I'm not sure what some of the weapons are, how to use armor abilities, etc. I'm sure all that will come in time but something I can't find an answer to is how you get the personal ordnance during a game. One of the things I read stated that there is a meter somewhere you need to fill? Also that it isn't kill based but, rather, medal based. Is that true? Also, are the choices for what shows up when you get it random or somehow based on your loadout?
From Waypoint:
You earn points for basically everything you do in the game that generate medals - mainly kills and assists, but there are a lot of things such as revenge, headshots, distractions, killing spree, etc, that give points too. Basically, look at your (and other player's) medals at the end of the match and those are the things that give points.
When you are playing Infinity Slayer, look along the bottom left side of the screen - above the radar and AA meter, you'll see another meter (looks kind of like a cube) that fills up as you earn points. When the meter fills up, then you'll get the prompt to call in ordinance.
Hope this helps.
Ya, I went to Waypoint and that didn't really tell me anything. Thanks for the info.
BTW, what is an AA meter?
Armor Ability meter - it's the little round icon in the lower left that shows how much energy/recharge is left for your current armor ability.
Thanks, I guess now I have to figure out how to use those.
Have you played the campaign? I get the impression that if you don't know how to use your Armor Ability, you haven't. Perhaps playing some of the campagin would help you get accustomed to the new controls.
Not sure, but it seems like the Ordnance choices vary depending on which map you're playing on.
I actually get kinda miffed when the SAW isn't an option... j/k ( I love that weapon)
