From 51 to 52 is extremely fast. But from 54 (where I am now) to 55 takes 29,320. I am guessing each specialization starts fast and then gets really really slow towards the 8/9/10th level of it. I think I'll do Tracker next for the armor mod that lets me reroll my ordinance choices.
47,740 Xp from 56 to 57. The Limited Edition allows you to choose any of the 8 specs at 50, instead of the first two and the rest being released slowly by 343 over time. Everyone will eventually be able to get them all. Limited Edition people just get to choose from them all before others.
Limited Edition people do get the six specializations with ten ranks each to choose from before the standard edition people are able to choose from them. Everyone eventually can get all 130 ranks and all 8 specializations. Limited Edition people just get to pick which ones they want from the full 8 - they get more choice and less waiting.
The specializations seem worthless to me anyway. :)
So does that mean you're not going to select one at 50? :)
I will pick one, they just don't offer anything that interests me with my play style.
I take it you only play things like Flood or Slayer Pro? Cuz otherwise you'd pretty much have to never scope in, never get killed, never get in a vehicle, never use a turret, never assassinate, never call in personal ordinance, or never pick up weapons that spawn on the map to find them all useless. So now I'm curious what your play style is!
I play it like I've played reach or H3, or H2 for that matter. Those things are useless. I don't need to see the radar when I'm scoped, bc 99% of the time I shoot without scoping. I rarely get in vehicles unless it's a blowout, try NOT to assassinate unless it's a clannie or a challenge, and ordinance seems to drop useful stuff every time. I don't per se NEED extra ammo on pickups, I just wish I could pickup enemy's DMR/BR ammo when I drop them.
Don't really think anything will resupply my ammo, not just nades. I've had a few rampages come to an end bc of no ammo. Not much that will help with that.
60,470 from 58 to 59. I really wonder if we're playing the same game if you guys say you can't pick up enemy ammo? I mean the guns do disappear in Halo 4, like in every Halo matchmaking I can recall, but that doesn't mean you can't pick them up...
Also, I can kill people in matchmaking just by melee, but that doesn't mean guns are useless because they don't have to be used. Just like the armor mods specializations offer aren't useless, they just offer a minor situational benifit. Sure you don't NEED them, but they are not useless. They have a use.
You can pick up the guns yes, but if I'm carrying a DMR with 10 rounds left total; And run over your dead body (you were using a DMR too) your ammo will not automatically be given to me. I have to pick up your DMR to see if your remaining rounds held more than my DMR did. However the perk you can use to pick up grenades from dead bodies happens automatically. That perk needs to either be added for selection, the grenade one removed or both just happen automatically.

Weird... Is this ONLY with the DMR? Because it is definitely not the case with the SAW, Binary Rifle, and Incineration Cannon.

No that seems to be with any weapon, it will not pick up any similar ammo when you come into contact with it.
Im with you here, just like campaign, if you walk over a weapon in MM then you take that ammo. Theres no need to drop a BR just to pick up a BR or Dmr or whatever it is.
The only weapons that you dont add ammo to are some of the covenant ones but once again, thats the same as Campaign.
I know this because im constantly running out and sprinting over to the guy I just killed to get more ammo.

what in gods name are you talking about? You automatically pick up ammo when you run over a similar weapon if you have space for more ammo. The only exceptions to this rule are the beam rifle, the storm rifle and the plasma pistol. And that's only because they use a plasma cell instead of ammunition.
Also, you can only pick up tose weapons if they have MORE power remaining than the current weapon you are holding.
Are you also saying that a specialization armor mod like wet work, which makes your foot steps silent, the engineer mod which shows you where ord's are dropping, before others know or the stalker mod which shows you where people that attacked you (but didn't kill you) are aren't useful? You obviously haven't don't any homework on these specializations or else you wouldn't be going on about them in such a negative fashion.
I'm pretty sure I'll choose Operator for my first specialization. I like vehicles, so I want to get the Wheelman perk to make them more resistant.
I don't see any reason to use Fast Track since it provides no in-game benefit. And by the time I get to 50 I'll have almost everything unlocked anyway.

The reason to use fast track is to advance through the other specializations quicker. That's all.
You ranked to 51? Does the ranking up continue to get slower or does it start over with a faster ranking up.

39,360 from 55 to 56
Those XP numbers seem super low compared to Reach XP.
I thought that only allowed you early access to all 10. There were already 2-3 available for everyone.

54,960 XP to get from 57 to 58. I hope I can start my next specialization tomorrow.

It certainly can't/doesn't hurt, but I forget about the Armor Abilities all the time. Maybe it'll just take some getting used to.

That I actually agree on. IF I can pick it up in campaign, then I should be able to pick up ammo in MM as well.

63,820 XP to get from 59 to 60.
So it really doesn't get too bad, kinda evens out.

I am now a Tracker. This dude on the other team in SWAT was pretty confused as to how I went from rank 59 to rank 61 after one match of defeating him.
Are the xp gaps the same for each specialization?
