Yes, after much pondering on what would make life that much better and enrich my racing life I have decided to take up my dear wifes offer to get me another wheel for Xmas and ordered a Fanatec Elite...Yes there will be some that say maybe the T500 is a tad better but a, it is huge and would need a complete redesign of my rig, b, I don't have a Playstation but do have an Xbox, c, everything about the Elite is familiar so no adaptation needed, d, I know the foibles of Fanatec and have had no problems with customer service (I know some have)
So all in all I feel I have made the right decision for me, when all is said and done it is a great piece of kit (as long as it works out the box) and I cant wait for xmas day to feel that awesome FFB.
Will it make me faster? I highly doubt it, will it add to the sense of involvement and immersion...for 500 quid it bloody better 
Congrats, early Merry Christmas and I know you will enjoy it immensely.
And if you're wondering...I am hoping to transition to the PC real soon so ill be poking about these forums quite a bit from now on. I am thinking about getting the Club Sport Wheel if I really enjoy PC racing. Maybe sometime this Summer for the CSW.

The base CSR set you get with the value pack, I'm waiting on a load cell mod to bring them up to near clubsport standard.

Nah, tons of well done and entertaining unboxings out there, I would get all competative and have to spend bloody hours doing a video and not playing...Bound to be a couple of snaps though
I bought the CSR pack last year and love it. Thinking about upgrading to the clubsport pedals. Not sure if they still have the V1 but the V2 looks pretty sweet, just have to research a bit more on them.
Yeah the CSR is a great piece of kit. CSP's are grand judging by the amount of folk using them and singing their praises.
