Bummed I had to miss yesterday, but RL takes priority. After putting in laps when I could last week I was pretty sure I could keep up for a while in club
Been running 18 lap practice races when I can in the Alpha, last I checked I had aready put 890 miles on the OD. Last three races have gone something like 6 laps in the 2:12s, 6 laps in the 2:13s and with a laps or two in 2:11 and the rest major fubar. PB is currently 2:11:2xx and that was with 11 laps on the tires.
That was fun, once I started getting caught up to Tourni & Pap. I don't think I would've been able to get by you, Tourni, without KC getting alongside of you, compromising your corner exit. Then picked up the draft off my Ford bretheren to seal the deal. Thanks KC!

Far from it, a couple of times i got the car loose and I was unsure if it was going to come back. I think you were coming on the pits on one of the events, with me coming out of Turn 1 sideways and a feeling that i was going to get fired into you once it got grip.
Oh it definately matters how you drive. I know because I've raced against gizzie in the Alfa 155 Q4 I uploaded to the club garage & he could squeeze an extra lap out of it (13 compared to 12). I know it's mostly about being smooth, a lot easier with the wheel, but there are techniques to keep the tire temp down as well.
tourni and paps, would you mind sending me a tune for the VW Golf and Dodge srt4 for inter please, thanks to church, drove both and just can't get the time that church can :( 2:08's as a fastest lap and 2:10's - 2:11's as averages :(
maybe i'm driving the car wrong or something or it's just church's tunes i can't drive like he does ???? it would just be nice to try some others

Edit: Also keep in mind that when he's not on his roof, Church is actually quite quick.

Ok Goose, I sent you the Neon. My standing lap in it was 2:10.2, and my quick lap was a clean 2:04.9.
While the tire temps operate at a sweet sweet 210 degrees, this is too hot to make it 12 laps. There should be enough time in it that you won't need to drive it as hard as possible to be in the hunt.
Let me know how it feels, and if you need any adjustments made.
I know he's quite quick, but maybe 1/2 to 1 second a lap, not 3-4 :(
Maybe I'm just getting all the lines wrong somewhere, maybe lose 1 extra second? but i thought I knew silverstone pretty well ?

Moving to Club/Civic from Inter/Delta. I am only a second faster with the Delta. Plus the Inter is full of scary aliens.

There will be a clear group split in the the inter which will consist of KC, Churh, Hyper, Goose, Poidsly (2.06s) Then Fitzy, helios, Antz and Stevigers.
Can the club guys post the sort of lap times they are avg - i think I'm gonna build a car that will be around the same times.

Parcells in club was averaging about 1:11's, plus or minus half a second.

I really liked the RX7 though, so its a shame but I'm sure we can find some more awesomeness in there, somewhere.
They could be setting us up for a trap here though.. :D
I actually like the way the RX7 drives as well. Another option would be to fiddle with the car and add some weight.
The Veloster is a free download so there's no reason you shouldn't have that one...

how you drive and how the car is tuned has a dramatic effect on the tires.
in my case i am up to 16 laps without needing to do a pitstop.
