We are all going to need a drink after ECM came out, with the 8 man premades we are likely to see groups with all ECM mechs. 6 atlas DC and 2 cicada's, 2 raven's, 2 cicada's and 4 atlas's, 4 cicada's and 4 atlas's, 4 raven's and 4 atlas's, or 8 atlas's. I am debating whether to just stick to 4 man lances in pug's.
Ok, so we go in to an 8 man preemie with a couple of ATL-DC's, and mechs that can blow thru armor like A/C 20's/ U; A/C 5's and SRM Cats. Then we continue to alter and adapt to find effective countermeasures that rely more on teamwork than a device that negates weapons dependant on locks. Have more faith in us as a team than hesitation that an individual module that cannot overcome it.
AutoCannon Mechs in many flavors. Ask and I can accommodate. I agree with Kurupt Age and wisdom beats youth and vigor always! People who rely on niches and exploits are lazy and uninspired. They can always be out thought and overcome. I know that between all of us there is at least a whole brain, and with the power of that brain we can kill them all or die gloriously either way it ought to be a lot of fun!
I do have real faith in the team, it is just the match making that has me alittle worried. I was never afraid of ECM, since I never really heavily relied on LRM's. My builds were always brawlers with a little long range punch, except for the couple of builds that are very specfically rolled. Even my A1 catapult can be altered to fight ECM as well so I am flexible that way as well. I will never doubt the team again, I promise. Thank you for the wake up call I will never forget it. It is the dependance, that ECM is creating in many of the 8 man premades that will be their weakness, we do still need to use it in a strategic way. We do have to be careful of those 8 man premades that have learned to make ECM an very real advantage. I notice a few commado's and cicada's that have ECM with SSRM 2's and I can imagine a atlas DC with quite a few LRM's as well. We do have to be careful of those builds. For example in our scouts and command mechs. Let's roll out in a 8 man premade tomorrow night and crush, destory, mutilate, annilate and oblidorate our enemies before us.
I'd say faith is justified! We had many a game in 8 mans last night and if my sleep deprived brain is correct I'd say weee came out on top in most of em. Pretty sweet knowing we got the stuff gents.

Not that I could tell yet,I checked the patch notes and no mention of phase 2 yet (8 player premades).
