Could anyone wanting to be considered for the BEST PAINT TROPHY post it here!
Did anyone manage to wreck their car spectacularly? Trophy for that too. Let me know.
DRIVERS DRIVER TROPHY - please PM me with your vote for the driver you felt demonstrated a combination of great racecraft, balls and etiquette.
Will get back to you once we have some news on these.
Dude to a snafu with my xbl profile, I can't sign in to xbl or fm.net oline inorder to access my photos. If someone wouldn't mind taking a shot or 2 of my car from the replay, I'd be most grateful. I'd like to submit my design for consideration.
Awesome race in B Inter! 1 hour 10 minutes in, 2 laps to go and you could throw a blanket over 3-5. Excellent racing Antz, Fitzy! Had a blast, thank you. I'm just fortunate I was close enough to be able to pounce when the opportunity presented itself. It sounded like the spectators enjoyed the show too. From the prior stints, I felt pretty sure I'd be able to catch you guys by the end, as I seemed to have a stronger car later in the stints. However catching and passing are 2 incredibly different animals.
Now to go download some tracks and get some practice in for the Group C prototype race in an hour, and the historic GT race @ Snetterton in 3 hours.
Wasn't my day today. Went off in the esses on first lap. Came back onto track in the middle of the inters @ club. Glad I didn't take anyone out. Great job everyone avoiding me !
Never recovered after that. Ran with fitzy,Helios & Antz for a bit. Got passed by Teme at least once. Finished 20k behind Kraigger & Shark 12k behind Zeratul. Thought about changing to a 1 pit stop sequence but the tires disagreed : ). Congrats !! To Kraigger, steviegers & Gizzie on their 1st place finishes !!
Thanks Tourni for putting this together. Loved having to think about pitting and tire wear. Had a great time !! Great job !!!!
survived. Nothing more. I am very disapointed from myself. Was nearly 2 seconds behind my personal best time, which was 4 seconds behind all other club racers. Many hours training at this track and with the Altezza, but no racing-, driving-, speed-progress.
After I realizied how fast the rest of the pack was, all I could do was staying out of trouble. I think the leaders were overtaking me 3 or 4 times.
Well, during the race it sounded, that you all had fun. Great. Congratulations to all winners. I will look for the vids.
Now is time to go to bed. Have to leave in 5 hours.

PS: May be I will take a break from Forza?
@Tourni: THANKS for Britcar. I am looking forward to the MX5-Series.
@ ChurchPro: Feel sorry for you. You'll win next time!
Well its was a fanstic end to what seems like a long race event. The work put in by all has been second to none, We've had some of the best racing in forza right here and I'm sure many will agree. I'd like to thank everyone, Atlantic Tuning for providing some awesome cars, Poidsly for putting up some badass advertising. Cotter for being cotter, Church for helping with the testing and Surf for being the second host. Lastly, Brnt for streaming the 2nd room and making an awesome job of it :)
Congratulations to the winners and also those that took part. 35 Laps is a long race :)
Dankert, Check that you are getting 100% power - I watched the telemetry and you didn't seem to get 100% in the red. Your lines and speed were generally good :(
I think that I spent more time training for this event than any other, and had put together a real consistent tune, and was running mid 2:10's on laps 2-6 on the tires. Put in a bunch of time on the paint, actually creating something that didn't look like dog shit, which is quite the achievement for me.
It's really discouraging to run into more lobby connection problems after thinking that I had finally got everthing sorted. Wish I could've participated.
Dude I really feel for ya, that shit just plain sucks. Would of loved to have you in the mix also. Haven't looks through all pages of this thread, have you posted pics of your car and it's paint? Would like to check it out. Btw was there room or did u try to get in both lobbys?
Thanks Tourni for a fun event! Sure made my first one a memerable one for sure. Thanks to all who contributed tunes, paints, time and overall fun time shared by all. All the hours of practice runs in preperation for today certainaly were nothing like the event today. Glad I got my first corner wall introduction on the practice race!....
Today I started out well making it clean through the first lap and finally settled in to a nice pace by the third. That lasted until I took my pit strategy one lap too many and never quite regained a consistant pace after that. Early on I had hopes of catching up with Gizzie until the cold tires and / or a lapse of concentration sealed the deal shortly after exiting the pits on lap 14. After that I was only able to put together 2 or sometimes 3 laps before I botched it again somewhere for the remander of the race. I did my best to try and maintain my line as faster classes approached to overtake. Not sure how successful I was or if I should have taken another approach. Feedback welcome on that one...
Contrats to Kraigger, Steviegers and Gizzie on their first place finishes. Congrats to all the dirvers for a fun time today!

Purely in the interest of feed back:
Its best to stay on your line mostly, a fast driver will know what to expect and will call his pass. I made it clear in my room that people should stay on their line and the faster driver needs to call the pass and his intentions. If the slower driver is comfortable, then he can instruct the faster driver to take the a desired approach.
Well done to the Super winners in my room - my pit strategy didn't work too well - boo hoo - I was catching up but not enough. My first 35 lap endurance type event and it was hard focussing for that long - good race cotter - never gave you much of a challenge I'm afraid and you guys were much better at maintaining your tyres than I was - i was losing time far too quickly
Yeah it was very unfortunate, I was really curious to see who was going to win the super group in our room. Cotter and you had near identical fastest times in the race!
I thought Dave stood a very good chance too, if he managed to get out in front. Mob was right there in the mix until he got dropped :(

It sure was a blast.
i am happy with my second place considering i chose a car that weighed 140lbs. more than the rest.
i would have needed two more laps to get to cotter as during the last three laps i was closing in on him.
as for Dante i knew that he was not going to make it seeing how he pitted much too early.
I'll send a copy for you if you want!
Diebels logo should include dog or something like that, but I was a bit lazy and used Ferraris prancing horse instead - LOL

Will you take 2 nominees?
Sorry to quote myself but .... Nominees and paints by Friday please.
@cotter - not going to have time myself but hope to see your entry. Looked very good the brief glimpse I got.
@sherb - 1 nomination for drivers driver. 1 for ChurchProFront award if someone managed to impressively wipe out.
Sounds like room to had some great battles.

OH and i do thing that G35 Gomba made a bit of a mess of his car in the first outing? However, surf seemed to chuck his race away on the first lap :D
Team America..
I'm so bummed that I couldn't get in.

Everyone did this perfectly :)
Congrats to all the winners!!
Is it possible to nominate yourself for the best paint award?
If so :
Yup, I want people to put forward their own paints, not others. So if the work is your own, cool!
Oh and if you have borrowed a few manufacturer vinyls from VXRStu for example that is not a problem.
J - i think i managed to save the replay, so i'll get some pictures up later :)
Emezer, i'm sorry to hear that you had connection trouble :( It happens occasionally and its really dissapointing.
I have updated the results sheet.
Could the winners please PM poidsly with their address.
Thanks :)

Hello,
someone from those who overtook me multiple times said during the race: "nice paint". Hmmmmm, okay, here it is.

Nice Job Jdan.
@ G35Gomba i thought it was the cold tyres after the first pit that caught you out as you were a consistent 400/500 feet from me up till then
Someone mentioned something nice about this too:
Old picture, few small tweaks made before race.
That would be me.
Love the paint. Started on one myself...but never finished it. Beauty.
That would be awesome Teme! Let me know if you need any assistance of my meager abilities.
