Not for fucking fish, I can't stand cleaning them, I'm fishing for players, and here's my bait:
The group I am a part of is all 25 years old and older. Does that mean we're all absolutely mature for our age? No, but we are a group that enjoys fighting, out thinking and out maneuvering the enemy to bring the best reward possible. We just feel like it's just as important to have some fun doing it.
We don't min/max to win, you play the mechs you want, simply because we believe that it helps you to have more fun with the knowledge we're not asking you to play something you've already spent time in a cockpit you're tired of.
Outside of that you are like the rest of us, we all have lives outside of MW:O. Play to your schedule as you see fit. We're not going to ask anything more.

It's not a requirement you join the site to play with us. The direct link to the forum has some threads that contain information on the VoiP program we use (Raidcall) and a list of people we have in the group so you can add them to your friends list. One thing I suggest is the downplay of skill or team skill, and really drive home comradery, having fun, communication, and conversation. I don't care so much about how everyone is playing, as much as having fun shooting the shit with those that I am playing with. I see a lot of people on the MWo forums saying how they wont use voip, or at the least wont talk with it. To me thats just like playing with a pug. Why take up one of my 3 valuable slots for my group If I am never gonna get the opportunity to enjoy gaming with you. Its my opinion that these people are more focused on skill and winning then they are on having fun, and its my impression that we want more then just to win. I could be wrong. I certainly have been wrong b4, as the wife loves to point out. Perhaps I need to see it from another perspective. But as of right now, I think focus should be on conversation and fun.
Of course I don't want to sound exclusionary to any older gamer looking for fun chaps to game with, but is shy or for one reason or another, or isn't able to talk back. We want these fellas too! But I worry some may get the wrong impression that we consider ourselves more competitive then we really are.

No, I think you make good points. We might never be competitive despite some individuals who play with us being quite gifted, and that's something that's true of all my 2old2play experiences. We don't "train" and "practice" and learn "strategies" like some of the other teams... goal #1 is having a good time, and we're accepting of people who aren't super MWO ninjas. Hanging out here is about the people, much more so than it is about putting together an elite strike force :)
That's not to say that we don't like to win, but priority #1 for me is being accepting (and accepted... if I have a rough game I know you guys don't mind!) and having a few laughs.
Hey guys, since our little thread in Liao. I've been working on a meeting with the "head"
of Liao_guy named FireBeretta. It was a good meeting. There were some misunderstandings
on the guys who initially took our post in a different light than we were trying to present.
Luckily we got that cleared up.
Long story short what's happened is that there are now lines of communication between us
and them to this end. They have created a channel for us on their TS server. Since there is a
current lack of information on Comm Warfare and how it affects us and them. We created
that channel in the hopes that whatever comes into play we can have the best advantage
possible.
What I'd like to make clear on our end is that currently everyone can go into Liao TS Servers (and hopefully
all the Houses eventually) under the tag [ODBG]KuruptU4Fun (as an example). If people want to go into their
chats and play with them if our chatroom happens to be empty, mores the better.
Liao has even offered up a thread to us here at 2Old2play. I'm hoping that in speaking with others
we can do the same there, all in the hopes that we find ourselves with a few new players.
They (Liao) understand our pre-requisites to play with us and the premise behind the website. I've reached
out to the other houses to try and do the same with them. Hopefully this becomes prosperous..

Ive been also talking to casters of MWO on twitch tv and got a few to come play with us. With the casters come the viewetrs watching them as well (at least I hope)
