Anyone picking this up? I'm hoping that it's multiplayer focusing on team rewards will keep most kids away, plus I'm hoping that they'll be too preoccupied with BF3, BLOPS2, and Halo 4. I should have Far Cry 3 for xmas.

I got it yesterday, it is EPIC. HUGE sandbox to play in. Co-op was also quite fun, was a little mummied by end of night and what i remember was SUPER! Hurry and trade-in blops while its still worth $30.
Ok now that I got the3 game running and opened uplay with it, It now gives me the 360 option. ... unlocked second decoder but haven't the foggiest of what it does.
I just stareted the game the other day ..the holidays have been busy busy...what do the decoders do?..unlock stuff..i guess we find items to decode around the island???sounds cool.
The game is fucking awesome so far on the SP front. So much to do, so many ways to approach every situation. The co-op is ok, very linear and buggy. Its cool to play but I don't think it will get multiple playthroughs, once in every chapter will be enough. An as far as MP goes, I have yet to get into a match. I got into one once and 15 seconds later the other team all quit. It looks like it could be fun but the servers are borked and it looks like there are maybe only 2000 people total playing it online.

It's reviewing very well. I've never played FarCry but it does seem like a pretty crowded time to launch another shooter.
Cause the last one was so good. And you just know any time a game decides to abandon it's beta nothing could possibly go wrong.
I'm looking forward to playing it. The single player campaign sounds awesome, and am looking forward to messing around with the map editor too.

I picked it up release day but haven't played anything but some limited co-op. BF3 map drops have been eating up my time.
I will definitely be picking it up at some point. Looks huge. I enjoyed Just Cause 2 long after I'd finished just recreating.
It's outstanding. Put right so much of what was wrong with FC2. Have only been playing single player but hopeful for MP.
And the map is massive. My one criticism so far is the poor viewing distance resolution. Kind of spoils the massiveness of the environment.

is there a 2 player story mode on this game? If not what does the Co-op contain? Just maps or individual missions or a modified campaign?
The co-op is a completely seperate story. It takes place 6 months before the SP story. It's 2-4 players
Are there any map creators here?

I got it yesterday, and am off until 1/2. Will be splitting up my time between this and borderlands 2 dlc.

Hopefully they have their server issues straightened out. I can't find a comfortable look sensitivity in MP. Arghh!

i haven't picked it up yet and went to that site... it told me to pick my platform and my only choice was pc and ps3. wtf/

Items to be decoded are found in multiplayer. They are awarded at the end of the match. The better you do the better data you get.
The better data takes longer to decode, Hard drive takes 8 hours i think
