Heyo all,
Wasn't entirely sure where to put this so I just threw it up here, a mod can move it if necessary.
For those of you who have kids, or who are into the Skylanders game yourself, I thought I'd post and let you know that Best Buy is having a buy one get one free sale on the individual Skylanders.
My kids each picked one out to spend allowance money on and I happened to look down and see the BOGO sign so they ended up getting 2 each, and since Best Buy was selling them for $8.99 that basically made each one only $4.50 - not too shabby. Oh, of course being the cool Dad that I am I bought one(two) myself. They are only 2 away from having the complete set - just in time for Skylander: Giants to come out.....::groan::.
Oddly enough they were also having a sale on Borderlands 2, $59.99 - or at least that's what I told my wife....

I feel your pain. My five year old has collected the entire set as well, starting last Christmas and being completed just a month and a half ago.I try not to think about how much that dumb game has cost me over the past year....
yeah, just like they had a "used" copy of Forza i bought the other day for "real cheap".

Been thinking about trying Skylanders with my daughter she is 10 and is really getting into gaming, I can never get her off my XBOX now cause shes addicted to Minecraft and she loves Rayman Origins but a 10 is she past the Skylanders thing ?????
I don't think she is too old. She may or may not be interested in collecting the action figures, but the game itself is a lot of fun and definitely not just for young kids. I'm 33 and I enjoy playing it with my kid.

Game is good fun - it's one I don't mind playing with my daughter (7). Hilariously I used to play a lot of Spyro with my son when he was young (he's 18 now).
My boy came home from school last week upset that the other boys were all playing Skylanders at break and he didnt know how to play. I played dumb.
I read there's a new type of skylander coming next that can come apart and you can swap parts around and make your own and put it on the portal and it'll appear in game that way.
I read that as well Tank. Won't be made by Toys for Bob (or what ever the company is called.) My daughter is into Skylanders, beat the game and was still playing it until she cracked her disk one day. She hasn't got any of the giants yet.

And don't forget Disney is taking on skylanders this summer with their own version of a collectibles game with Disney characters to go on a portal like platform.
Ya i'm pretty interested in the Disney stuff, looks like fun. But 34 bucks for one fig plus it's world aka playset? That's a bit much i think. But i saw Cars was officially announced as a launch playset, separate from the starter pack.
