Hockenheim is my favorite track. After this weekends GT3 FIASCO, I'll be REALLY looking forward to this weeks BTCC race.
Maybe I can get some folks to post their times so I can see how I will compare this weekend?
Well my best so far is a 1:54.601, but then again I run at the back of the field so it's not much of a time to go on
Im running low 1:53 times at the moment so you arent that far off. It would be safe to assume that as the date gets closer and people change their settings some of the faster drivers may be in the 1:52 range.

And Parcells can attest that you and other fast drivers like you will be flirting with 1:51's come race time since Parcells broke 1:52 3-4 times, never clean. In fact only 1 in every 6-8 laps is clean LOL. Race time Parcells should be able to maintain a decent 1:52.5xx

After reading those first Hockenheim times, I think I have to do something, because my personal best is a 1.58.xxx and I don't know, where to find time. I saw many vids with different cars at Hockenheim, but I can't find the key. If you would have too much time it would be top, if you drive the Lexus at Hockenheim and gift me the videso, so that I can learn from you!

I always assumed that he wouldn't do that since he's part of a tuning garage. It would have helped with the Yaris a couple weeks ago because I really liked the tune but wanted to tweak the gearing. So I spent my time trying to match his tune exactly, THEN adjusted the gearing how I wanted it.
Prebuilt, you never know what kraigger will do until you ask. Assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME. Kraigger is a very friendly guy (when he wants to be ). But just ask him like JDAN does, you never know until you try. Whats the worst he can say? No?
JDAN, did you ever get ahold of a microphone for your xbox yet? I noticed you were lacking the microphone during the race, that might help for avoiding accidents or at least knowing they are coming.

Dai that was the most intense and fun racing iv had in forza for a long time also the most defending iv had to do not usually my strong point but you where all over me like a rash. I don't think I'll have much hope in the next race to many cars with way way more top speed even with a 10% handicap than my focus ( not sure how that got past testing :) ) .With regards to the headsets I use the Microsoft wireless one but not sure if people can hear me at all times I feel I have to shout sometime and that's not really an option at that time of night. I have a few Microsoft wired headsets I don't mind sending one out to Jdan if he wants it there not the best but will do the job.

your support is very appreciated, but it is not the problem, that I don't have this microsoft headset.
The problem is, that I have to drive with earphones on, so that my family can sleep in the room nearby. Most races are in the evening, I am one hour later than most of the euro guys and my family is going early to bed.
To wear the headset under those earphones hurts after few minutes and so this isn't a option.
So if I only wear the headset and turn on the speakers so low, that they don't disturb, I do not hear my tires and that is really bad, because I only have this non-forced-feedback-madcatz-wheel. The sound and my eyes are my only "connection" to the car.
Yesterday I tried a headset with mic from my son, but learned something I hadn't thought about. I have to connect all devices to the wheel/controller and not to the usb-slot at the xbox. So it simply didn't work. The idea from my son to get the old headset from my old Nokia phone was good. The cable and the "stecker" fitted into the wheel, but it didn't work also. So I will have to buy a headset with good earphones and mic, which is compatible to this xbox. Money, monery, money,......
Or I'll get an inspiration and idea how to break the mic from the microsoft headset, so that I can glue or bondage it it to my earphones. Aaarhhhh. And that is for me a tremendous job, because I am more a head-worker, than a craftsman. At home my wife made all paintings, renovations,......
I hear you all talking during the race. I react to all announcements correctly and I am able to hear "you are coming", means I am following orders " I am on your left, jdan" etc. Don't worry about that.
And yes: The day will come if jdan will make his voice audible. Wether my english will be understandable or not, will be your decision then! :-)
first impression: I think the second one is eventually fast, but for me much more difficult to drive. It is much more slippery, than version 1. Pershaps I should train more to be sensitive with my gaspedal. Will give it another try. And times???? Well, ..... hopefully nobody reads this ........ low 1.59.... I found that each car runs different on each track. I found the Merc and Lexus ran better on the slower tracks and the SRT and Megane ran better on the power tracks. This is what I found anyways!

FWIW I think it's the torque numbers that are making the S class cars an S class car. The SRT4 at S606 is I want to say 380lbs of TQ, and the Mercedes 231lbs of TQ. OUCH!

The BHP reduction on the Dodge is necessary as even with 273BHP its still as fast as almost everyone else's and if it doesn't work this weekend the BHP limit will be reviewed for race 7 - 8 - 9.
I know in Room A there is KC, sWhite ect but as soon as they received a 5% cap it kills there advantage. With the Dodge it just steamed on like crazy.
I have stated though that you are able to change your car for the rest of the season if you want to (Apart from the VW).
TBH I should have banned the Dodge (And the VW but I was unaware there was 2 of them ) before this event started.
I know it is impossible to make everyone happy but I am trying to make it fair at least hence the BHP reduction of the Dodge will be reviewed for race 7 - 8 and 9 if you do run this weekend and its underpowered. (Although in testing it was still very competitive)

Jdan if I remember right if you set the Xbox to send chat to speakers and then plug in headphones you will hear comms in the headphones and you can just hang the mic around you neck...I'm sure someone is doing it that way.
