Facebook Challenge #4 – Mission Unpossible
(Cue the Mission Impossible music)
Date: Wednesday, Feb. 13
Game: Forza Motorsport 4
Target: Forza UK community manager Ian Webster (aka Helios T10)
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to design a tune for Mr. Webster that is so un-drivable, so utterly inconceivable in automotive execution, so unfathomably impossible that he won’t be able to beat his stated lap time at the start of the event. Should Mr. Webster fail to beat his time, everyone who sets a time in this one-day-only Rivals Mode event will win a unicorn car (and be able to choose their car of choice in a forum voting thread). Furthermore, Mr. Webster will be forced to don the Forza Shame Suit, effectively rendering himself for all time as the British “Duke of Hazzard.” Be warned, however: Should Mr. Webster beat his stated time, no unicorns will be gifted at all and no Shame Suit will be worn.
The chat room for Facebook Chat #4 will open promptly at 10 a.m. on Feb. 13, where Forza community operative phredesign will unveil the car and track combo to Mr. Webster and promptly ask for his lap time guess.
Will Mr. Webster’s loyalty to the Forza community overcome his need to avoid dressing like the star of a poorly written, badly acted American television series from the early 1980s? We’ll know on Wednesday.

OK. So Helios T10 ran a lap in, I believe, the stock V8 Vantage and set a standing start time of 2:13.645.
The community has finished the "tune" and he will now have until 10am PST tomorrow to try and better that time. If he doesn't anyone who posts a time in the event will receive a Unicorn.
If you want to pick up the tune it is on the Johniwanna's storefront. Search for FB Challenge 4. They've also asked Helio's to post replays on his storefront.
Since we don't have to beat his time I might just download the tune and see how driveable it actually is.
Side question. Does anyone have a Union Jack vinyl group?

Shaggy I have the actual flag if that's what you want. It can be deconstructed to do damn near anything you need.
Oldschool is the man your looking for regarding the union jack vinyl. As I recall he did quite a nice mini a while ago.
I have a tune for this car on my sf that runs a 1.48 if anyone is looking for a build.

He's down to 2:21.7. I ran a 2:20.3 with the car. It's a handful. He might break 2:20 but I can't fathom him getting anywhere near 2:13.
If you don't mind gifting it over that would be great. I grabbed one of the storefronts last night to slap together a quick F.M. Montgomery livery given the side bet that HeliosT10 will have to dress up like Bo Duke if he doesn't beat his time. I wouldn't mind tweaking the flag a bit so it fits the roof a bit better.

He's nowhere near his initial lap time so if you haven't posted a lap in this rival event and want a Forza 4 Unicorn get crackin'. It's only a matter of time before phRED closes the event if he hasn't done so already.
Will try to get that done about 3:30pm or so EST. today.

If you posted a time in the event, the unicorn you vote for will be the one you receive. If you don't vote you'll receive the unicorn with the most votes. If you didn't set a time in the event...

I was checking today what unicorns I needed and was surprised that I only needed the 1993 mines GT-R, so I voted for it . All going to plan I should have the full set.

Im debating on what unicorn I want. I have 3 BMWs, 2 Evos, 2 Superleggeras, 2 TS S15s, 3 TS Supras, 2 Mugen Civics, and singles of all the others. I requested the LP640 in the WIR thread. Im debating the Camaro SS or NSX-R GT. I have one Camaro, but its in A Class with tune and paint from Rampage Jackson event and don't want to change it. Is it a decent car in other classes, or is there another choice I should make? My NSX-R has a limited edition "Unicorn" paint made by meMonkey8me and tuning from Maple Valley A Class Rivals. The LP640 I have has the Juan P Montoya KOTR event paint on it. Basically I'm choosing those cars since they are the only ones that I have that I can't paint. Though I'm not a painter. I don't know why I feel this way.......kinda an OCD thing I guess. Looking forward to your opinions guys on what car would I should pick. Thanks!

NSX it is. Just recieved my LP640 from WIR. So now I have 2 of those. Just voted for the NSX so I'll now have 2 of those. YAY!
Yay I just got the 1993 Mines G-TR, I now have all the unicorns. I never thought when I got Forza 4 I would manage to get them all I'm chuffed.
Picked up the HKS Evo from Johniwanna's Rear View Mirror thread. After voting for the 430 Scuderia in the poll I'll be three Unicorns away from two complete sets plus extras.
