Buying a lot of PSN and XBLA titles this really bothers me as well. I know most people opposed to my hatred of this announcement will say "when the new consoles hit your old one doesn't stop working so play them on there". I know that is true for both physical and digital copies of games,but having 4 consoles hooked up seems like overkill. While I do get your disc games not being bc solely for the sake of the companies making you buy games for the new system. I'm assuming that Microsoft will announce the same and that will bother me as well. I always looked forward to the weekly sales of the digital games on both systems,but knowing that as a gamer I will probably upgrade to newest hardware I will really have to think about buying any more titles.

Agreed. Funny that Sony gave away $10 psn vouchers lately. I think they understand this a pretty big pita. I'm also curious if the ps4 is going to be using plus+. They had a buy a year get 3 months sale lately. I'm sure it would piss people off that bought that hoping to use it on ps4 as well when they upgrade. I know personally I'm pretty much on cruise mode and will just play the same stuff I've been playing for the last few months, free plus stuff and vita.
Yeah, really annoyed at the non backwards compatibility with ps3 and psn games. I'd like to say they will have a program in place to appease the hardcores like us but I can't trust Sony with something like that after last generation.
Well I don't expect the PS3 to all of sudden go dark anytime soon. Look at the PS2 and how long that lasted. Just ticks me off in terms of your profile, friends list etc...
As for BC as much as I enjoy it I don't use it as much as I think I do.
I love the XMB. Everytime I turn on the 360 I want to punch somebody - I so hate the interface on the 360.....it looks like Sony is going for something closer to the 360 interface and a drastic departure from the XMB.
Have to wait and see what it's like I guess....but I'm worried.

What are the ads like on the 360? I hear stories of MS plastering XBL with ads and those Sony screenshots don't seem to include any other than games.
It definetly slow. Must be partly a ram think maybe. Say what you want about the 360 but I hope the ps4 can run just has smooth as far as not having to wait for things to load. Picture and trophies loading annoys the crap out of me.
even on my "limited" 20mbps I don't find the store slow loading... the only thing that's ever "slow" on my PS3 these days is the Trophy sync, and Friends List loading at Sign on.

They're still coded for ps3 architecture. I don't like it either.

I think there will be some emulator released for PSN games...but that might be a pipe dream.

ads are bad on the 360 but usually relevant (games / netflix etc.)
I'm not going to get up in arms about this till I get a little hands on time. Just don't make it like the store is now, that shit sucks.

My speed is alright, once images are loaded. It takes too many clicks to get where I want to go or make a purchase.
