Deep, I don't think that update was the TU.  The boltshot seems still too powerful and as someone pointed out to me, normally there is a splash screen when you first log in that says the TU is live.  We didn't get that.

I did notice Majestic achievements were up, so I'm wondering if the update had to do with that.

Bravo said it was live yesterday. The dynamic lighting problems were fixed for films that previously had bad or no dynamic lighting. I am assuming it was in yesterday. I think the version number went from 02 to 03. Perhaps the Boltshot repair didnt come out as planned? Somone would have to repeat previous tests to be sure.

Those Hilter vids are usually pretty good. That one is too.

The disinformation always throws me off though. I.E. 6 months for the TU (~3.5 months for 3 separate TU) and no FFA (yes there is next week). The mistakes wouldn't bother me so much but then they get repeated on forums as fact which does bother me.

This entire thing is frustrating.  BTB players, even though there are a preponderance of (good?) maps for them are still getting shafted.  Competitive players have been getting shafted for the entirety of this title and the effective life of the previous title.  Forgers have been getting porked over this title.  Deep, you're like Baghdad Bob for Halo.  I don't know how you can keep waving the pom pons, even though you've been frustrated as well through this whole Halo 4 endeavor.

It's not so much that I want to or even do wave pom poms in the face of disappointments. I dislike misinformation/disinformation with a passion. It's usually negative in nature and those inclined to be negative tend to pick it up and spread it until readers believe the garbage they are reading. For that reason, I can be seen correcting small errors from time to time. It may seem silly and annoying but if I can improve the information, I will.

That aside, this TU did fix some of my issues in (Theatre). Still no film rendering and I no longer expect it will happen. MS seems about to drop the 720 news, which will likely include the same streaming features as the PS4. Combine that with the potential of Halo 5 launching with the box before Christmas and it can be surmised they won't give us rendering now. If that comes true, I won't mind at all.

3.5 months in and we have three more DLC maps that are being heralded continuously this weekend. Whether they are a quality gift to 2v2 and 4v4 competitive players or not, they certainly don't seem like stinkers.

Halo is the game for me, for now. I need a community to play with. You can't build a good community with negativity. Look at what wamam87 is doing. It doesn't matter that Halo 4 has problems, he's getting people together to play and have fun. His events are fun and good personal connections are getting made. Imagine if he just came in here, dropped a turd and left. It's a pretty huge difference in mentality.

I heard Halo 4 rescued a kitten from a tall tree branch.

I heard Halo 4 has shared with doctors a cure for cancer, they are dragging their feet.

I heard Halo 4 finds missing socks in the dryer.

Halo 4 knows what one hand clapping sounds like.

Halo 4 knows the Answer is 42, but more importantly it knows The Question!

I don't always play great games, but when I do, I choose Halo 4.

I was just talking about this over the weekend.  Of course Halo 3 was the first Halo I played on Console and the last time I played Halo was during the Reach Beta so you guys are definitely more experienced with how this works than I am, but I find it really unusual they would even release Halo 4 with the intention of dropping 720 and I would assume a new Halo potentially this christmas.  Does anyone have any thoughts/insite as to why they would do that?

I agree whole heartedly, I do love the Halo franchise and 2old2play has a great Halo community, it's because of this community that Halo 3 is my favorite game of all time. Again I haven't played since Reach Beta but I'm thoroughly enjoying myself right now, I'm sure it's different for you guys that have been playing all along though.  I do understand where these guys are coming from, you don't want to support mediocrity especially if you feel they know better and are intentionally not putting the effort out for whatever reason.  I guess going back to a Bungie Halo until Destiny launches is always an option.... haha!

Largest reason was because Halo 2 was released roughly in the same time frame. Novemeber 9th, 2004 release for Halo 2. The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005. So about a year after largest game the Xbox ever had, a new console was launched.

Oh, and I should mention Halo 2's disappointing campaign ending, which would be finished on the 360.

Halo 4 just started a new campaign trilogy. It's going to be finished on a new console.

So, some similarities for sure.

Maybe it was the connection, but ran across a guy who had a boltshot that worked from REALLY far away. Ridiculously far.

Do you still have the game film? Maybe it is something 343i would like to see.

I'm guessing it was connection-dependent.
