Is Mumble still hot?

Thought you guys would be the ones to ask. So you've had plenty of time to figure out all the ins and outs by now. How are you guys liking mumble? If asked (which I am doing), would you recommend mumble or another voip client for MMO gaming?

Has the service been reliable? Are there any special features that add to its value?

Thanx

Mumble is great. Really, you can't go wrong with Mumble, Vent or Teamspeak.  I've used all 3 and never had a problem with any.  If you're getting a decent price for a Mumble server, go with that.  2 other free opitions are Raidcall and C3.  I have not used either of those but I've heard good things.

We have been using Raidcall in Mechwarrior online. raidcall is truly awesome for the price (free). Just now and then there are outages with service. When that happends there isn't any feedback from the programmers as to when it will come back. I think for the 5 months we have been playing MWO we've only had 3 major outages.

C3 is alright as a substitute while raidcall is down, but its voice quality is lacking, still buggy and extremely un-intuitive.

Was hoping to see if either of the big three had any special features that set it apart, like being in more then one channel or room at a time for serious pvp raids in an mmo so that raid leaders could coordinate. Anyways if there are no special features to set them apart I guess its down to cost and preference. Thanx.

I'm not sure if you can be in multiple rooms in Mumble or not.  I've never tried that.

I have been in multiple VOIP clients at once. When we do the WvWvW, I'll be in the guild's Mumble WvW room and usually on the server's VOIP app.  (our old server used Teamspeak).   The Enjin Client handles the overlays pretty well (GW2 sucks with mumble's overlay).  That client ties a lot of cool apps (vide cap, screenshotsm, etc).

As for clarity, Mumble sounds great.  No issues there.

I've been using TS3 for all our racing events at GBR & 2O2R and Mumble when I hop on GW2.  Haven't had any major issues with either.

The mumble server is open to ALL of 2old2play.  I pay for it every month.  No reason to use another service if you want to use mumble.  I can set you guys up with a chat room.  Just let me know.

I'll let the 2O2R guys know.  Thanks.  1

We're pretty well established on the GBR front...plus we got a few guys that aren't over here, though they are a minority.
