I loved Wing Commander - in college me and my roommate punched a hole (literally punched a hole) in the wall to put a null modem cable through so we could play Wing Commander Armada against each other lol
I've actually recently discovered the X games (specifically X3:Terran Conflict and X3:Albion Prelude) which has re-ignited my love for the space sim games.
I played wingcommander on my old super nintendo or maybe it was n64, can't remeber which system it came out on.... think it was super nintendo though... ya pretty sure. It was awesome! I remeber the deceleration spin and attack on ships behind you mauver. I thought that was so amazing back then.
