GRID is no Forza, don't get me wrong. But it's still a great racing game. It offers great drifting and also a destruction derby. I kinda wish that GRID and FORZA made babies together. Because that, my friends, would make one bad ass game. Its only on sale today for $5. Unbeatable. It's a download, so clear space if you plan on getting it. It's roughly 6.35 Gigs.
Yes, parts do actually fly off your car when you hit things or roll. Hella fun for $5 IMO.
Does this game work well with a wheel (csr) and is it any good like feedback does it have dead zone and so on. Not a bad deal for £2.70
Im not sure if its compatible with the wheel or not. That I would google. I'm not sure if the sale is still on or not.

Indeed. It's a pretty tough game. I'm finding that out now. I still had my original game save on my xbox. It's like being on a break from Forza for a year or so and then hopping into R2-R1 cars with no TCS. I'm amazed at the difficulty. I just had to tone it down a bit just to get 2nd-5th. TCS on/AUTO Trans/Basic Difficulty. But I hopped right into a very tight track with a CCR. Not fun in that car. Drifting is just as awesome as I remember. And the tire smoke in amazing in this game too. Try drifting in circles. You won't be able to see your car. Cockpit view is sweet too. Have you tried the Destruction Derby yet?

@Gizzie would you say the game is worth the $5 USD/ £2.70 in your opinion
Just turned the Xbox on to download it. I remember playing it a few years ago I enjoyed it then but now I can't play a racing game unless I use the wheel. Iv had a look on the webs about wheel use and I think I can use mine but not sure how good it will be ;)

I picked up Dirt 2. Figured if I liked it then I'd move over to D3 and get in on some more stuff (the one offs that some guys here might start doing again) Forza chose not to do. I actually enjoyed the rally stuff when I used to play the Gran Turismo series.
Ive got Dirt 2 the other month thinking its what the other guys used to race. Turn out its Dirt 3 lol.
If you want to run anything give us a shout and I will get it booted up.

Getting old. My mind does not remember what my eyes just read. Just start running some hotlaps? on the tracks and we'll figure it out as we go along. Then after I get good enough not to trash my vehicle on the game's sim setting let's have some fun. Bought all of the tracks. They are Dirt (pun intended) cheap. I'll run them and pm you. Maybe we will start a thread. It might just be us two.

If you want to have a race night on Dirt2 and there is not enough from here i know of a couple of guys from my forum that might join in to make up numbers that still have Dirt2
If not at the same time might we get some hotlap comps going? Thread is up and I'd love to see how I stack up. I know I'll suck but it might be fun with us all driving the same cars/tunes/tracks etc. That way I get to learn the tracks well and do what I do in FM4. No brake line and cockpit view. Although the brake line doesn't apply in D2 because there is none.
