World of Tanks
World of Tanks
Alternate post title: Where's BirdToes gone?
I decided to take a break from Mechwarrior Online and give World of Tanks a spin this weekend.
I don't know how many of you have tried WoT, but it is somewhat similar to MWO. It's quite addictive and actually a bit more relaxed than MWO (at least the way I play the game: as direct fire support aka tank destroyer chassies). The maps are beautiful and zomg there's so many of them!
Of course, WoT has been around a long time. I never tried it before because PvP and shooters were just never my thing. MWO helped me get used to pvp team matches. Also, I scored kills in each of my first three games. If you can shoot in MWO then firing a single gun on your tank is easy.
One other thing: my frames per second in WoT is about double what I get in MWO.
If anyone's interested, my WoT name is BirdBunny (another variation of my parrot's name). I think in the future I'll be bouncing back and forth between MWO and WoT.
I played a lot of the closed Beta, then all though the open Beta. I guess I just got burned out. Fun game though, I did really enjoy it when I played.
I just came here to see if anybody was playing War Thunder http://warthunder.com/. I may have to give WoT a try.
I have news: I'm now a closed beta tester for World of Warplanes. It's actually pretty good, very fleshed out already.
I have been a alpha/beta tester for a year in WoWp. No first person and not going to add one bums me out (and no TrackIR). I actually tried to patch today but the 4GB download was going to run into tommorrow. I'll try and remember to start it before I go to bed.
I have to admit, I wouldn't mind trying out the warplanes one. If you guys come across a beta invite somehow, think of me? :)
Bird, I sent you a friends request on WoT.
We should make a 2old2Play clan, I can`t believe there`s not more of us playing this.
Highly addictive, and for the PC so you can play anywhere, and now on Xbox anyways.
Oh my name on WoT is Vera_Lynn, you know, the Vera Lynn.
