im sure once the highlander comes out next week it will be busy in here again. In the mean time I got in the final fantasy 14 re-launch closed beta so ill be checking that out this weekend while also playing mwo. either way ill be in raid call
In all seriousness, I really haven't been in much of a mood to play lately. I tried to save up cash for the Highlander but I've been pretty unmotivated to play. I mentioned to Cynfire what's been going on in my professional life, so I figure I should let the rest of you guys know... we're buddies at this point and I do miss playing with you.
I teach at our province's public college, and there have been drastic cuts in our funding in the past month, which lead to both my wife and I losing our jobs. As of right now, we're in job limbo: our contract affords us bumping rights (ie. we can displace an employee with less seniority than us), but the cuts are so deep that it's unclear whether even the 9 years of seniority that I have will protect me, and my wife, with only 8 years, is in even rougher shape. Even if we do get positions elsewhere through bumping, the campuses are located all over the province and we might end up hours apart, and whatever happens, we'll certainly have to leave the town the two of us wanted to retire in.
It's been a stressful couple of weeks and I can't concentrate long enough to enjoy a few games. Shooting people in the face surprisingly doesn't make me feel much better... you'd think I could pretend I'm blasting the people who did this to us or something :) I'm optimistic that we'll know in a month or so what's going to happen. Hopefully when the dust settles I can start to lower the stress in my life and start to enjoy things like playing a few games again.
Crap man. I've been in a similar situation the last year. Its HARD. Things appear to be turning around for me *keeps fingers crossed* and hopefully things turn around soon for you.
Me too. Cheers, guys, thanks for the kind words. The bottom line is that we have our health and we have each other... we'll survive. Doesn't make all the uncertainty any better but you gotta keep positive!
I do need you to get on and check that the UA/C-5 jam rate has gone down dramatically, that's the rage on the forums right now. My ilya needs some love!!!
Hmm... I have a UAC in my Dragon, which I was running for an hour or so tonight, and in at least one game, it was jamming on every 2nd shot. Might just be in people's heads. That said, I had a couple of games where I was rocking and rolling with reckless abandon... so maybe there's somehting to it. Any word from the devs?

No word from the devs, had to break out the 3 UA/C-5 Illy this morning and ROCK THE DAKKA!!!
