So how do you mute the mic if the headphones are over your earpiece?  My dogs bark sometimes and I need to be able to mute my mic from time to time.

Thanks

Just reach a finger up under the headphones  and click the button on the side of the earpiece, muted. then click it again when u want to talk. Very easy to use.

So I have purchased the MS wireless (black with bluetooth) and it seems to work fine without using the headset.  Its not picking up the tv or my shifting so that is a good thing.  Plus its a bluetooth that I can use with my phone when driving my truck so the cost is worth it.  The only bad thing is its not very comfortable under the headset.

Now comes the shocker, the wife told me to by the TRitton Warhead 7.1 for Xbox!  She convinced me to get them.  God I love that woman!

BTW - I have all of YOU to blame for this.  I was a perfectly content with my ghetto rig 2000, my medcatz wheel and running laps at the ring by myself until I found this place.  Thanks

Were just trying to help Grimm. We'll let these current bills settle and talk back up equipment with you in a few months because we care.

Couple thoughts to ponder as I have moved closer to upgrading.  Will the new xbox support backwards compatibility i.e. Forza 4???  Will the new box support older chipsets>>The fanatecs gonna work on it???  Current headsets??? Anybody have any insider info or news.  Ive followed a lot of the announcements and none of this has "really" been adressed.  Just something to think about.

Ihave to agree Gunny. At this point, a person might be better served by being patient to see what the next console will be like. I'd hate to spend a shit load of money on a fantech only to not be able to use it on the next box. I know it could still be used as a pc wheel, but that doesn't do anything for me.

Considering I will be atleast a year after release before I make the jump to the new xbox, I m ok with the money spent thus far.

I did read in some of the fanatec forms that the wheel should work with the next system being that fanatec is licensed with Turn  10 and Microsoft . Also read that a upgraded board would be avaliable for the wheel so that it would work with the next  xbox. IMO I don't believe that Turn 10 or Microsoft would have partnered with fanatec for just one run of Forza . That would be a waste of time to develope a wheel that is primarly focused on the Forza game. Csr and Csr Elite both having forza logo and the colors. I also beleive that fanatec already had a heads up in regards to the next console coming out..

Isn't the Fanatec PC compatible?

If so I can guarantee 100 million percent it will work with the next xbox.

Why? Because the next Xbox will again be using the same architecture as a PC's. Thats how the 360 Pads / Cams ect work for the PC. Everything that works on  the current xbox will work on the next one.

Apart from the Kinect.

It has a custom USB port on it. They will change the shape pf this for the next Xbox so you buy Kinect 2.0+

I use the CSR wheel, elite pedals and Turtle beach PX5 headset.  I also like using the clutch pedal. It just feels so natural. And as far as slow lap times are concerned, the clutch pedal is the least of my problems......79
