Speaking of shitty launches... I watched the pilot episode of Defiance last night. Amazon made a mistake and instead of a 15 min preview the made the entire episode available to stream on PC (they've corrected the error now though). Anyway, I didn't think much of it. Some truly bad effects in places, bad writing, feels incredibly derivative of Firefly but lacks the charm. Other than two characters appearing briefly in the game I'm not sure how the show and the game really tie together. Maybe an expansion will make the town of Defiance an avaialble location or something. I don't have cable or get SyFy so I suppose I won't be privvy to how things develop with the series.
