Those are nice cars but did they have power anything( Brakes, steering.etc...? I use to drive a 1969 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup. long bed. Drum brakes, 350 c.i. motor, leaf spring and three on the tree. It came with power nothing. Now that is how you learn how to drive, half ton pickup with drum brakes, you get to learn what the old racer use to drive in that.
67-72 C-10's ran an odd swingarm/trailingarm rear suspension and coil springs... I drove a 72 longbed (307 C.I.) to highschool sometimes when I had my Nova tore down.
That truck rear suspension is the same crap Nascar still uses in the Cup cars
Oldschool you guys drove cars that were engineering nightmares in comparison, handled like garbage, but I guess they did go OK in a strait line, and in a circle.
They did have style though I'll give you that.
FWIW I like some of those cars a bunch but they just don't handle well enough in the game. That's why I usually stick to the Couger, or various mullet mobiles
I still have not figured out which car to run this week. They both seem to do well at the track. Im leaing towards the 3.0 CSL though. Going to get some laps in later tonihgt and lock it in. And I still need to get into the paint booth and get one painted up.
Thanks for inviting me tonight. I loved those cars. I will have to be more prepared for next weeks race so you don't have to wait on me. Tonight's cars may be my favorite to race so far.
Man I thought for sure that we were going to have issues with that CSL.
I was running consistant low 1:15's with the 2002 and couldn't get out of the 1:16's in the CSL. Obviously I was doing it wrong.
I ran a dirty 1:14:1 in that first race last night. I've NEVER ran that fast before in B-class so that was pretty cool. Funny how a race makes us faster even than hot lapping sometimes.
Sorry I didn't realize there were 2 races last night. After I got careless and flipped onto my roof, the damn car wouldn't turn back over... I was disappointed with myself for nailing a curb after I practiced hard with the mindset to stay the hell away from curbs in the 2002.
If not maybe I can get the screen shots from Brnt.
I didn't post anything about points when this started, and I think given some of the issues I had with the Escort series this will be just for fun. Maybe we can do some sort of vote for something and have a prize for whatever that might be.
So with that said, all I really need are the top 1-3 for both races, and the bottom 3 for the 2nd race.
I'll be sure to hand wright those down tonight.

No, we drove what we could afford. And if it wasn't quick enough we put a bigger motor in. ( 396 Vega wagon...)
BTW my '67 Camaro handled like a dream, but it was far from stock, closer to a track car by far.

I'll have to double check, but I 'may' be able to run a euro league on Thursdays at 9pm your time if that spot isn't taken by anything else.
In which case if I do, the idea would be the same but maybe we would switch things up a bit, including something that the GTR fits into.

They are pretty close. The 2002 seems to handle a little better the CSL seems to be faster on the top end.
However I REFUSE to put forza aero on the CSL, so your build may vary.
The Forza aero is not that bad on these two. Its not the big ass wing
BUT, the factory available rear spoilers on the CSL are just beautiful.
I've uploaded a tune for the 3.0 CSL on my SF if anyone is interested.
