Warning on PS3 4.45 System Update - WAIT on updating

the System 4.45 bricking issue seems to be mostly affecting those with upgraded 3rd party Hard drives

If you have upgraded your PS3 hard drive do NOT do system updated to 4.45!

Most Likely Sony will roll out a patch 6/19 - you may need to boot to Safe mode:

BUT WAIT until there is an official Sony announcement

Safe Mode Access is:

1: Red Light (Standby)
2: Press and HOLD Power Button on Console
3: When you hear a Beep, KEEP HOLDING
4: When you hear a Second Beep, Wait a moment and Release Power.
5: Should be in Standby/Red Light Mode again
6: Press and HOLD Power Button on Console (A Second Time)
7: When you hear a Beep, KEEP HOLDING
8: When you hear Two Fast Beeps, Release Power Button Quickly

System Boots to Safe Mode
Attach USB Cable and Controller
Press PS Button

Warning: No Fix for 4.45 Bricks here yet though! Some Options in this menu will erase your messages, trophies, and even the entire hard drive. Use Only if you know what you're doing or if you've been told to do so.

To Fix the 4.45 Brick: (Most Likely)
Boot to Safe Mode (as Above)
...Wait for Fix/Patch Firmware...
Put on Flash Drive in /PS3/UPDATE
Insert Flash Drive
Select "6. Update Firmware" from Safe Mode Menu
Let Fix/Patch Install..
