NIce.. I preoreded mine as well. Also preordered KZ, Knack, Watchdogs, Ghosts, and BF4.. Also went ahead and grabbed a years plus card , so im good for the next year and a half.
I deliberated for 2hrs the other day about preordering it from Amazon, but decided to hold off because I don't know if I'll have the money available :\
Since Stungun is my hero and I model my life after him(sometimes I dress up like him and pretend I am him) I preordered also yesterday.BF4 for the win. Let the games begin!
I was at Gamestop yesterday and asked them about how they thought the whole Xbox One would affect them. The manager stated that its not changing anything and that he thinks its just a bunch of PS4 fanboys spreading rumors about not being able to play used games. I asked him about the stuff I read that was published by MS themselves and he still insisted that used games will work just fine.
I know MS has said there will be "authorized" vendors for used games, I just don't think it will be as simple as it is now with just buying a used game and throwing it in the tray. Anyways I put my name in the hat for a playstation preorder so now I'll be looking forward to release day.
I have no doubt you'll be able to play 'used' games on the xbone. It's just convoluted policy and hoops for the customer to jump through that I have no time for.
Honestly I hardly ever buy used games, just have had a few bad experiences with the disc having issues. My biggest thing is the daily check. Sorry I have a good provider but the core of the system now depends on someone maintaining their servers for me to play my games. I've played several online games over the years on xbox and pc that have had server issues. So I guess on those days you just have to do something else, or as their exec said, buy an xbox 360.
I've seen people try to defend it and compare it to steam but it really isn't that similar. Steam verifies it on the initial install and thats it. Afterwards you could unplug that pc from the internet and enjoy your game if you wanted to. If MS was to do something like that I would be fine with it, but everyday is just ridiculous.
I don't trade games in either (GS,BB,ETC) , but I will trade with folks here on occasion. I also pass on my system and software to a kid (friend or family) at the end of the generation.
Shouldn't they be comparing GFWL considering that is a MS product? I don't understand why they compare Steam.
Yep GFWL is ran by MS. I have very few games that use it since that program went bust. If my memory is correct I think you do have to login when you start the game and it does an online check. I might be wrong though, like I said few of my games have it since they stopped doing GFWL.
Nice. As said before, if you come across Playstation + cards cheap grab em'. They typically go for $50 for a year.
Good call, If I see any or if anybody see's any deals, please post a link :)
