Being a Mod is just something I could never do, Lala is right this site is different than most as we are all adults here and we should be able to work things out ourselves. I have been guilty of reading something then getting annoyed and posting a reply that might be a bit aggressive and in hindsight I shouldn't have posted. In these cases I have reposted and smoothed it over.
I do think the guys here do a decent job and let things go on long enough for us to sort it out ourselves. If that doesn't happen I've seen them step in to fix the problem. One thing though Lala I am upset that you think this thread is just an excuse to boost post count, I have found this thread to be a place where mature and deeply spiritual conversation take place. By just reading this thread I have become a more mature and enlightenment human being so leave it alone.
This site is no different to many others, but I take your point Fitzy, remember I was being very specific about a spate of recent threads not the site as a whole.
So glad you have seen the light and understand the true purpose of the goodnight thread. We will be going for charitable status in the near future.

I was just trying to explain what might happen if 2o2p was a heavily modded site. Thankfully, we're not. The Mods have no problems with any posts as long as people aren't attacking each other. Being snarky or pissy towards each other isn't the same as being an out right dick. Nothing upsets any of the mods here more then to actually have to mod. We only lock threads when communication completely breaks down. And were far from happy when we do it.
But just to reiterate, this thread is fine. Keep up the activity and just enjoy the site. I actually just hopped in here to make fun of Gunny, it's one of my favorite hobbies.

In other news I awoke this morning after 2 hours sleep (the curse of insomnia) to find the battery flat in my car, not a great start to the week. Rescued by one of my band members who lives only a couple of miles away, a good shove and she fired up. Annoying thing is my booster gadget that is supposed to get me out of trouble had decided to give up the ghost last time this happened and I had put off getting a new one...Ah well that will teach me, have to bite the bullet and pick one up next time I am in town.

Morning Gunny, sounds like standard Irish weather, right now mid summer and the sodding fire is lit 'cause it's cold....and damp...and no doubt will soon be wet.
It was a giant MC wax statue...but I am short (5' 2")...and weddings are so boringggggg. Youngest brother is talking about getting married...im trying to talk them into Vegas lol.

2) Parcells read the following while viewing a link about Bill Parcells..."Parcells will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 3."
Parcells birthday (me - the real Peterman) is on August 3rd...how wierd is that?
Now back to your programming. Had this been a real emergency you would have been notified with three bangs in succession like this BANG, BANG, BANG, followed by three whistles like this WHISTLE, WHISTLE, WHISTLE followed by Doodi or LB issuing ststemements on how to remain safe. If you or any member of your family should happen to die while still in the shelter, put them outside but remember to tag them first for identification purposes!
