RIP my good friend
RIP my good friend
Dear all,
I have tried to carry on as normal in the last two weeks. Its been a real trial.
2 weeks ago, I lost my right hand in the department. He died in a climbing accident, found roped to his climbing partner the next morning. It was on national news in the UK - Anglesey.
Today we buried him, and celebrated him. He leaves a 6 year old daughter and 10 year old son. He also leaves a wonderful wife and hundreds of bereft individuals.
I cant describe how I have felt these last two weeks. He was such a great human being. Truly an inspirational bloke. He understood what was important and what was just crap. He could make me discard the unimportant in a second.
I do not have faith. If you do, please say a little prayer for Vaughan and his family. I have done all I can for them and still feel empty.
Just to know that some of my friends, here, where I spend a great deal of my spare time, would give him and his family a moment would be great.
normal service will resume
Paddy

Thanks guys.
Funeral brought it to a head. I've just had to keep going, sort his work stuff out, clear his desk - all the things a manager has to do, but a friend shouldn't have to do.
Got to just let it go and remember him as best as I can.
Thoughts with you and his family.
I wish Vaugan's family and you all the strength neede in this trying times. Try to not mourn his death but to celebrate his life.
