New Wednesday Evening series. What would you like to race next?
It's time for a new series to take the place of the Wed. Hachiroku series. I've built 3 different prototypes & would like your input as to which car you'd like to run next. Baseline builds are up on my sf for anyone who'd like o try out any or all of them. Here are your options...
All of these builds are max grip/performance on a stock motor, so hopefully they shouldn't be too hard to handle.
1-Shelby 427 Cobra
2-Ferrari F40
3-Pagani Zonda
I'm not a fan of the "super cars" so I'm going with the Shelby.
Otherwise second choice is the F40
The shelby has the highest "fun factor" imo.
I second the Shelby. Now that my schedule is finally settled I can get back to some online races :)
Ill save any imput until after Ive drivien them later today!! I love days off!!
Are these fully tuneable or are they stock tunes?
Cars have tunable suspension, brakes,& diffs. Stock transmissions.
As for testing, Full courses. No short versions if a track has multiple configs. Other than that, we will probably run all of the real world tracks & most of the fictionals as well.
Can we equip weapons? You know for road hazards, like people that are quicker than us?.gif)
I vote for a blown V12 Cobra...
But I suppose a plain old 427 will do the trick
What have they done!
if I won the lotto I would buy a legit cobra and then do that to it just to terrorize the purists
I hope that's a kit...
Isn't the Zonda the most civil handling of those three?
I love the optimism of this statement...
"All of these builds are max grip/performance on a stock motor, so hopefully they shouldn't be too hard to handle."
Thr Zonda is the easiest to drive, but the Shelby is the most fun though.
I agree, the Cobra's my favorite hands down. But it's not a kinder gentler kind of fun...
Why? Better to go 302 twin turbo and lose the weight for handling? Crank up the compression!!! Does Callaway or Hennessy do Fords?
Cobra is a blast, good decision keeping the 4-speed. I have an A600 tune, it's one of my favorite lobby cars.
Yeppers. I have made one small change to the build, but it's not neccessary to change for testing tonight.
18" rims just looked too big, so I went back down to stock 15" rim size. No big deal really.
Can you send me the build so I can tune it to my style? I tried to DL your build but when I went to rebuild it, I couldnt tell which parts to use as I have used this car befor with different parts.
Thanks
Will do ghost. should be home around 3:30 cst. I will load up & send it as soon as I get home. If I don't get stoned & forget 1st that is.
Hey Cotter could you also send me a copy? Some friends are in town so not sure if I'm going to make the testing or not but I plan on being in next week.
I don't see a build list? Is it race shocks/brakes/ARB's/differential/tires? Rest stock?
"Cars have tunable suspension, brakes,& diffs. Stock transmissions" is all I could find?
I haven't posted a build spec yet. Still finalizing that part.
Basically, it's this...
Stock motor.
Brakes, suspension, ARB, roll cage & Weight reductionall=race
sport transmission
race drive shaft
race diff.
Full aero
Race tires, max wdth, stock rim size.
Lightest wheels possible.
Thanks Cotter for the tune. Did some laps around Road Atlanta. Love the sound of this car when driving from the cockpit view. This is gonna be a fun series for sure.
Was fun romp last night guys!
Hope I gave a good baseline for slowest lap times possible..gif)
Truthfully, this is not the best car to do any kind of learning in...especially at Infineon...
Well I did learn not to take a wrong turn down the drag strip.
