HITTING BALLS WITH CARS

Ladies and gentlemen, my good man Shrimp and myself are bringing you a night of blood, sweat, and tears. Coming to an Xbox 360 near you on Thursday nights after Prebuilt's AIX American Iron series.

We present the Thursday Night Throwdown!

For an hour or two following the AIX races, we will subject you to the catastrophic insanity that is, car soccer/football.

Now before you go on and ignore this little night of ridiculousness, hear a brotha out... Car soccer/football is unexpectedly fun! I'm not shitting you, there's quite a bit of preparation and skill to being a badass on the field. It's really fun to pick out and build a soccer/football specific car and even tuning it to perform at full potential.

Here's the lowdown on what we've discovered so far. We plan on allowing two main types of cars per team. One would be your brute, if you will. A large, heavy, usually 4wd vehicle for pushing and royally fucking up your opponents. Then you have your little zippers. Small, ultra fast and maneuverable vehicles for stealing and getting across the field faster than your opposition. Your brutes are going to be mostly trucks, vans, and SUVs obviously. The Bentlys are kickass brutes as well.

Basically if the vehicle is over 3,750 lbs. it's considered a brute. Anything less would be a zipper. Be careful on your vehicle selections as each car handles the ball differently. Once you get used to the game, it's easy to find a car that suits your playing style.

Once on the field, strategy becomes a huge factor in being competitive. Learning to play offense and defense and learning how to effectively use the walls is critical. It's just too much fun once you get the hang of things. Way too much fun...

So depending on interest levels. We will start with random teams. If we get enough players we can split into official teams which could get really fun. Custom team paint jobs and team names and stuff.

This night of barbaric full contact man car sporting events will mostly be in the form of car soccer/football, but we will also dabble in the madness of other events such as cat 'n mouse and the likes.
