I'm digging it, but no one else seems to want to play it.
What are the main differences between this and Throwdown? I got asked this and I couldn't answer it.
Its *so* close to being a fixed Halo 4. So close to the game that should have shipped out, but so far.
I agree, it just needs magnum secondary for AR starts and BR/AR start gametypes addded.
No you wouldn't. The maps are pretty horrible, and the sightlines blow, and the saw is overpowered...
Again, or you can just cut out the middleman and start with the BR. I would happily go back to playing Halo if this playlist did just that.
The stock maps have sucked, as a whole, but the Forge maps have been very good. I think I'm getting a little tired of playing Blessed Lockout, though. This is a very fixable problem.
The SAW is a beast. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it is a power weapon. I think it needs a lot less ammo with it, though. If you hold onto the SAW for all the ammo you get, you should be able to rack up about fifteen kills and a handful of assists, easy.
The only times I ever really encounter lag is playing Grifball on Primordial when multiple rage quits happen. It usually goes black screen for a couple minutes and when it returns, half the floor is missing. Its pretty funny. Aside from laggy players or questionable kills/deaths, I seldom have lag issues.
I enjoy the fact that it feels more pure without the armor abilities. However, I've not had the opportunity to locate weapon spawns on the maps - specifically the BR, DMR and/or Carbine spawns. When I finally stumble upon them in the game, I make sure to remember where I find them and communicate that to my team.
If I can get some quality time with this playlist and learn the weapon locations, I could see this as being a great list.
PLEASE send me an invite/FR if anybody want to play!
Since the playlist is going to be canned on 9/3, I will be trying to rank up a bit before it dies. I have some of you added already but anybody feel free to send me an invite if you see me on, typically nights.
They are integrating Legendary BRs into the Infinity Slayer playlist. Absolute facepalm IMO, they could just make a Legendary BR playlist on its own and I'm sure plenty of people would play. Gives me a reason to play IS now I guess.
Well, I tried playing Legendary all day yesterday to rank up a bit before it died, and after four hours of the following, good riddance.
Nothing but awful connections, tons of foreign host in lobbies full of US players
Tons of quits/JIP
Teammates about as useful as a wet paper bag
Host AR, ugh
Why in the world did anyone think it was a good idea to place two shotguns and a sword on adrift, the campiest QC map in the game? Nothing but corner campers.
I'm going back to BTB. I hope they try this again in H5 and it actually works, and I'll see if they've made any tweaks to the formula in regular IS 4v4 variants.
It was anywhere from about 1-8 PM Central. Like I said, there were plenty of other US players in the lobbies I was in (usually at least 5/8 players) and the host would ALWAYS go to seemingly the worst person.

Lately, it's been doing that (giving host to horrible connections). Also, since school is now in session, you're more likely to run into a full US lobby once 3-4pm est hits.
I don't know, I quit playing tonight because it kept partying us up with overseas and giving a really bad connection. And as far as the host situation goes, get this:
1. Host goes to worst connection.
2. Bad connection often lags out.
3. Lobby spends more time in black screen as game tries to find next worst connection.
1) In throwdown you get to choose a loadout/weapon, there are no loadouts in legendary
2) Weapons spawn on the map based on drop times, no "indicators" for drop
3) No armor abilities.
Also radar is off in TT and the loadouts are preset, not your own.

Lockout causes horrendous screen lag. Methinks it's too many intersecting objects.
Man, Forge has been all kinds of jacked up since the beginning, along with split screen.
I find Legendary Slayer both fun and frustrating.

Darth, I would be up to play when I'm on, I'll send you a FR.
Reviving this.

WHAT? why is it going away? more BS by 343.
That's the closest thing to H3 settings as you'll get with sprint.

I suspect it has something to do with LEGENDARY SLAYER and TEAM THROWDOWN being perilessly close to extinction and competiting for a similar crowd.

why don't think just make two tiers - one social and one ranked, like they did in Halo 3? That worked perfectly.
Can't go back now. Fractured userbase, going against Infinity Slayer, and then this. It could be more possible in a future title, though.
Hence why I say we need to go back to this being more of a base Halo experience, and be able to add all the other fluff in through Forge.

What time did you play? If you play in the morning to mid-afternoon, there are a lot of foreign players, which 343/m$ loves to give host to.

Whose brilliant idea was that? O.o
Dedicated hosts in November. COD Ghosts!
