If you tell me what i gotta do then i could probably host room B.
Not sure how well my internet will cope with the stress though lol
As its peer to peer the host speed does not really matter unless you have mega lame internet.
If you are on Tomorrow or tonight I will invite you to a room with all the settings already set. Once you are in the room I will leave leaving you as the host.
You can then save the settings and just load them up each week and change the track.
Since the grid is set up based on lobby points, neither Chrurch or Kris can open a room for practice prior to the race. Based on this, I will open a room for practice after the clio race until 15 mins prior to the start of the mazada race for anyone who is interested.
The reverse grid won't torn for race to correctly. I know you can go back a step and it clears all the points but normally the game looks up. The only room change is prebuilt is now in room A. Other than that see you guys soon for the Clios.
Also if anyone is using one of my times just make sure the gearing is Ok as I won't have time to check and send the new tune out. Going in to this race with zero practise and a car that is tuned for Cat :(
in all honesty what on earth were those set ups for the track. the timings were off the setting were by far off and then the second race punted off (ok my racing isnt the best) and then no chance of recovery i have no idea what went on but the whole thing was messed up the first race was confusing in room b i had no idea where i was and the second ended up as far as i can tell a mix up as we changed the settings to be a normal race.
dont get me wrong the racing was ok but the setings put me off from the start . i have no idea what the settings are ment to be but the way it was set up was from what i could tell at best poor. how can you race when you dont know your position i started in last and raced my absolute arse off in last and then ended in 4th. dont get me wrong i love racing almost all the series i can with this (within euro times). and was what i can tell a sham. just by curiosity i would like to know what the settings are meant to be as i have no idea what this race is meant to be on. I have lost interest in this series from the off, unless there is some clarity.
sorry folks but this is something i can not race in until it is clear.
As I said snoop from next week all race settings will be as a normal race.
The race will be ran over a set number of laps as normal and race two will be grid reversed.
I tried something different, but this game is so crap sometimes it's basically run it one way over and over our not at all. Sorry for the confusion lads I just hope people had a good raceish
oh dont get me wrong the racing was ok other than being punted off but the whole settings put me completely out of place. the first race was ok but the second after the little punt i just gave up. lately im not having fun and this race was the cherry on the proverbial cake. I like the mazdas and the group setting maybe next week will be a little more interesting but right now i'm questioning if ill stick around.
to be fair, both races barring accidents were a convoy.
Is there anyone willing to take over hosting room b? Not sure im going to run this series atm
Edit: Ok, got rid of the stinking headache that was causing me to be in a vile mood, so forget what ive said up there.
Snoop, dunno what your moaning about mate, i was about 4 cars in front of you in race 1 (after stopped dead after a restart and slammed me into the wall putting me dead last.) and it still put me last in the standings. Sim was a clear 1st and its said he was 3rd. Im just putting it down to an experiment gone wrong.(although maybe we shouldve tried it when we were having a shakedown).
2nd race was just a train i thought. Although how the hell Shrimp got a 1:05 dead on a clean lap with a 5% handicap is beyond me. I was going flat out and only got 1:05:7 with the same tune lol.
I wont be able to make most of these races, the hour wait between this series and Clio series wasn't very popular with the lady of the house. Had to quit the race yesterday do to pedal issue's, was not getting full throttle (very intermittent trouble happens once a month). The MX-5 build should make for some tight racing for all, might take a race or two to become familiar the racers and car.
...the hour wait between this series and Clio series wasn't very popular with the lady of the house.
It wasn't very popular with me either and I'm no lady. "Maybe" if enough of us would like to push up the start time of this series we can do so "maybe"??? thinking out loud.

Tomorrow I will be running every track and getting my average.
I will then work how many laps we need todo for a 25 min race.
I have changed the rule on the OP to:
4. Each race night will consist of 2 x races running a pre-determined number of laps.
The race format of Random grid Race One to reverse Grid Race 2 both standing starts will stay the same.
The above will put the racing back to what people are used to with correct placements, distance meters and lap times.
Like I said before, I tried to spice things up a bit but it never works on Forza
Also can you host again Pizzy please as the room hosting is just standard now and should be pretty easy.
Regards to the racing:
Road Atlanta is a real hard track to pass on. The next track (Nurb GP Short) has a lot more passing place and should be a lot more fun.
Although these cars are easy to drive they are real hard to master. You must keep your speed up at all times our your will just lose loads of time on the straights.
Can i have the replays for Room B and for Race 2 Room A please?
I really hope to see a good turn out again this Sunday. We are at a good track so should be fun!
Cheers lads and sorry for the Fuck up on Sunday but hey. Suck it
Started 9th and got up to 3rd, then we had to reset the room after about 7 laps as the positions were all messed up (I was showing 8th when I was in 3rd)! Second attempt, I went from 10th to 2nd (due to a caution leading straight into another accident) still showed me in 8th and then half a lap later I got dumped back in to the lobby so it was night over for me!!

I'll have another try again next week.
It was because we tried timed races and this is what Forza classes as a timed race. Nobody was happy.
I cant send the replay for race 1. Ive sent you what the game said the positions were (i could pretty much tell you were everyone was on the actual track if you like though) Race B will be on my storefront tonight. Either way ive sent you the results.
Thinking back to the shakedown, the Nurburg was possibly the most fun.

Yeah people have moved up and down. Just using previous finish positions in the Clio Cup, V8s, BTCC + Others.
My goal is to have both rooms running super close.
OOO Room B. Only think i recognise a couple of them. Should be good.
Ok, i'll host, my internet aint bad, its the provider thats unreliable
Placements have been slightly modified:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AliDbd0NDC3-dDR3OWJwcjZFUDhvbWZ5SElxVUN2aUE#gid=1
Just looking at the room placements, prebuilt in my opinion is definitely a Room A driver.
^ I would agree!
Has general pulled out then?
Ive sent everyone in Room B a friends list. Can we catch up after the clios Church so i can get your settings etc

thanks grim. btw..i dont understand why they cant?

Edit: this was meant for the Clio topic.
Current Room placements for tonight:
Room A:
Room B:
Well the room setups went well!
It will just be based on laps from next.
I now have completely lost all interest in Forza, thanks guys.
Good night spoiled by that last race.
Cheers

Like bring it forwards?
