Last 4 days of GameStop's 50% extra trade in credit-Ends 7/28
If anyone could use the extra trade in credit. GameStop is offering an extra 50% trade in credit on games, consoles and accessories. Go to the link for more details.
So if you have an extra 360 console lying around, now might be a good time to get that extra credit for it.
Also in the fine print they are taking broken systems (i.e. red ringed or other issues) at lesser value..So if you got some lying around give it a shot. Any credit is better then something just collecting dust.
I've got a spare 4gb 360 i'm going to run over there this weekend. If GTA 5 weren't coming out this Sept, i'd probably take my main over as well but I guess i'll have to hold onto that and trade it in when I pickup my new system.
I stopped in last night and asked what systems were worth... I almost shit my pants. 67.50 for a new black just announced at E3 250 slim W/O the extra 50%. 63.75 for a 250 gb PS3 SS W/O. The prices they are showing are for the newest models of the system. He suggested waiting til the launch week as they always have some sort of deal when trading up systems. Unless it's a stellar deal I'll just give the PS3 to my daughter... I think I've got over 150.00 bucks worth of downloaded content on there I'd hate to just lose for that price.
FYI you do not lose downloaded content unless MS removes the content from the servers. You can just redownload it. You have a history of your downloads in your console settings tab/area.
I was more meaning the fact that trading in 150 bucks worth of content isn't worth it for 127.50/ 63.75 w/o the extra 50%. You might as well just hang on to it. No doubt that with Gaikai or whatever MS does you'll be able to redownload it but who knows how long that'll take.

It wouldn't even be $127.50. An extra 50% 63.75 would be roughly $32 dollars..... so $95ish
We unloaded our Kinects, spare controllers and tons of games. We won't sell back our boxes though until closer to launch. Between the power up, extra credit, etc, we got about $300 worth of credit. I can't remember the exact value...But I was shocked that we were getting about 50% back for controllers.
This was all, of course, after convincing the Gamestop manager that they did indeed have a trade-in promo by showing emails we received.
LOL I hate that. I like going to a specific gamestop that usually hads someone working that is not totally brain dead.
I have 4 within 10 miles to me, but the one I go to is the one farthest away from me. The one closest to me is like loaded with dudes/ladies that I am amazed they remember to breath to survive.
lol. All I have is a few games that would not be worth anything. Everything else I don't need I've already sold. Except eventually I'll probably get rid of one of my 360's - however with no BWC that could still be a couple years so I can keep the two room convenience. I'm keeping 4 controllers because occassionally there will be something I need 4 for in a game.
I traded in a 4gb system, with the bump got almost 100 bucks out of it. I totally forgot to take some of the old games I have, DOH. On the plus side, they gave me a coupon good thru the end of Sept for another 50% bump trade-in deal so I can take all the rest of my accumulated Xbox stuff over there in the next 2 months and unload it all. I'm still going to need to keep my main system though until new console launch time because of GTA5. If i wasn't getting that, i'd just dump all my xbox stuff and PC game for the next few months. It's pretty much what i've been doing anyway.
Well looks like I lost a bit on my trade in credit. They are not running a double the console credit promotion. Accessories and games drop to 30 percent.
So you still have an opportunity to make a little cash.

Says double the trade credit. They may have changed it on you since you last posted. 200.00 for "new" 360 models and 150.00 for PS3's
