Indications of Interest...
As we wind down the final days of the Xbox 360 and Minecraft 360 I wanted to find out if anyone was interested in seeing a tutorial world I've put together for using redstone.
The idea was I would guide a few friends that had asked me about redstone through a brief training camp of sorts. I developed a tutorial world and in it I cover the very basics of redstone through to some intermediate circuits including some of the latches, switches and specialty circuits I use most frequently in my builds.
The world is built and ready for tours. Just let me know if you want a look at it. I have it divided up into what I think are locigal chunks and all five sections will probably take an hour or so to get around.
Just a disclaimer- I'm a very rudimentary redstone user. I would describe myself as a competent electrician rather than an electrical engineer. While I do showcase a few circuits and devices I developed myself if you are expecting to learn about Boolean Algebra and how to create memory circuits to build your own working laptop in Minecraft- look elswhere. My goal is to hand you a kit of tools to get started with redstone or make your own circuits a little more efficient.
If enough people are interested in it I could bully LB into coming with me and streaming it Live on his Twitch channel.
I think its a great idea. Hell, put the videos up here. Man, if Doodi were still alive, he'd want to even tweet them out or push the content in some manner.
Its a shame he had to die.
Wow, lots of interest here. If we can find a time to squeeze me in I'll totally show up and listen to you drone on about knockin' bits o dust.
I'm interested as well. I just haven't found the time to play much of anything lately.
