I had a few cars on the back burner for a series that were never used.
Renault 5 Turbo in B class i think, the other was the RS1800 which is a great car in any class, again it was going to be B500, low power and easy to drive.
I have a tune on my storefront for the MGB GT, BMW 2002, Alfa Sprint GTA, and Datsun 510.......I'll post one up later for the RS1800 Ford.
Pick those up and let me know what you guys think. They are all pretty close. Some are better at certain things than others but that's the case with all series events that have multiple cars.
I think it's actually a good idea if someone else hosts anyhow (Grim?) to try and eliminate some of the lobby issues. (Though I didn't host last week either so who knows)
Prebuilt, I think your last two posts for for the AIX thread and not this one
As for Sundays for me this summer, not sure how many of them I will make if my wifes schedule is changed
Ya my bad that was for the AIX thread.
Ya the Sunday thing for me is going to likely be an every other Sunday. So while I would like to see the small bore vintage cars the series isn't something I could organize and run.....I just want to show up every couple weeks and run one of these cars.
Problem is Snappy all those cars are less than 2000lbs. The Alfa is barely over 1600lbs....It would be tough to get them to wear the tires when they are that light.
I've been working on the Vauxhall VX220/Opel Speedster, full A600 build. If I recall corectly those cars are build on the Lotus Elise platform so maybe that could be thrown in aswell.
I also started a nice low A class (I think) build on the Alfa someting Stradale, the one with the big square rear spoiler. For this one I whent with a high revving build.
I can put these cars up in the Euro garage if people want to try them, let me know.
Parcells seconds Zeratuls recommendations especially the Opel Speedster, that car is a beautiful drive. Also think we should stick to one car one build to keep the racing close. Not that you can't have different cars competing evenly with the right build its just "more difficult".
Wow!! So much cooperation!! LMAO! Also, and this is just me, Id like to not see "too" much power. Still on a curve here and the escort/seat/clio have been great for me and my learning(or lack of). Also been great for a other newbs just breaking into the club. just my two cents! Whatever it is gonna be, I'm in. Its the one excuse I have and block of time the family knows to leave me the hell alone and schedule all things around.
I've already got a series going......
Otherwise I've been thinking about B500-ish small bore vintage racing. MGB GT, Datsun 510, BMW 2002, Fiat Abarth, Alpha Spring GTA etc.
Well that was a failed attempt to edit.
I've been working with these cars a bunch lately so if people think the series sounds fun I'll work on setting up series builds.
Also I'd throw the Ford Escort RS1800 into that group of cars as well.

I say we make it happen.

I won't be on until right at 8:30 est.

How does 16 laps tonight sound? Should make the race time similar to the last two weeks.

I am working on something with many of the cars you have listed but of course... I am experimenting with drag tires. I know, crazy.

Aussie V8's revisited....again?
Something by Merc - with outrageous HP
Maybe a TVR?_Or is hairy chested out of fashion?
Euro F355 challenge series
Could offer the rwd TT Audi with HC builds as tested if enough folks are interested?
Whatever. Can also keep theses for a less formal slot!

not sure on specific car but I agree with Parcells on "one" car "one build".

No such thing as too much power
pudseys
Seriously though, as long as its not some asthmatic pile of crap that you can't at least lay some rubber down. The vx220/speedster is reasonable fun.
OK, drivable for all skill levels vice power! better??
<<<Pudsey I guess!! New club word. Its been used twice in less then two weeks!! LMAO!
Funny you should mention the C63. Just did a build a few hours ago based on this thread. Now throw in the beemer and Audi!!!!!!
We are talking pleasingly high power cars. My findings - throw all handling at the Merc and it remains a thug.
New plan: Build an Opel Speedster this afternoon and submit to Church et al for consideration.
[edit] then go with Zeratuls build :)
Sounds good parcells :)
Multi-class Thugs and Gentlemen, Thugs can be the Merc, Holdens etc the the Gentlemen could be Lotus Opel etc. Maybe A class then B class.
Some good ideas.
I think the next series has to be RWD and just 1 car build but not too much power.
I still have the Lotus that was never used in A class.
