I think the next series has to be RWD and just 1 car build but not too much power.
Parcells wholeheartedly concurs.
I built up the Opel Speedster to A 550 with I think all race parts but no weight reduction, race slicks and a handful of power parts, no aero and it meets the above criteria. Tried more power but the car seems too light for it plus what power it does have is plenty but not too much.
Sent Church the build and posted to my storefront if anyone wants to try it. The tune isn't quite there yet but can be fixed. Can send it to anyone if they want to give it a try.
I was thinking of doing another one off event on a Saturday evening around 9pm - 10pm BST with the Aussie V8's. I am thinking of setting it up within the next 2 - 3 weeks.
I've put the Vauxhall VX220 and the LANCIA (my bad calling it an Alfa) 037 Stradale in the club garage and on my SF for those wh are interested. I'm not 100% satisfied with the VX tune though, the Lancia is great fun IMO.
i have the dtm cars ready to go, but they were built for an endurance race at the ring, we could use them for a short series finishing with the endurance

Still not overly "rookie" friendly and Parcells just finished some of the best racing in a lowly MX5 event, 1st (barely) in one race, second last in the other both were totally awesome!!!
well i had not considered le mons, i was thinking nurb GP catalunya and hock, these are all tracks that they actually run at, need to talk to church about the endiurance races, they would be to long and cut into the mazdas
German Touring cars Gunny. Set up a private lobby and under the restrictions you can select the german Touring body and then see what they are if you need to. There's an Opel, Audi, Mercedes and maybe a 4th I think? R series and seriously glued down downforce aero.

Of course Lotus guarantees an awesome car.

i will get the thread written up tomorrow
dtm cars dont seem very low HP? Are they?
I know
But some of them are probably well behaved.gif)
Oh yes.
And then there is TCS.

OMG -just tried out what I think is one of the builds submitted by Gizzie to the club garage. The Merc.
1. Its R2
2. It has huge anchors, seriously.180 to 40 in bugger all time with no kill you attitude.
3. Traction is not a big issue. Very drivable.
4. Massive fun¡!!!!!!!
The business!
My one plea would be.....
Open with...
Le Mans endurance
Hockenheim long
Nurburgring long
Nordschleife endurance
???????
Good track choice
Although personally i would replace Nurburgring with Silverstone. But idea is good with just 4 tracks. Thses cars are great and handle brilliantly.
I know we were looking for a series with low powered cars but we have the mx5's running so this could run with them.
Its Gizzies idea. I'm just throwing out a plea for using the two natural european endurance tracks.
Road America would be fun too.
Having driven the Merc, I am now doubly keen on the DTM idea.
Can't wait to hear more.

I have a nice S class no aero Weistman(?) build? Almost as fast as the Murcielago.

I like the idea of default aero settings on these types of cars.
